Great condition & quality.

After 5 years of use and easily a 100+ pizzas, this has been a very good peel. On the level of GiMetal? Not quite. But still a lot to like. 👍🏻 Proper handle length for a full-size pizza oven keeps you a comfortable working distance from the heat and lets you get a low enough angle to see what you’re doing through narrow oven openings (but probably way too long for single-pizza ovens like Gozney, Ooni, Bertello, etc.) 👍🏻 NO SCREWS. Look closely at almost every full-length peel on Amazon and you’ll see screws holding a 2-piece handle together. Or even worse, holding the paddle to the handle. It’s obviously easier to ship for the maker, but it sucks for you the user. Screws inevitably loosen or fall out with regular use, requiring constant attention to avoid a mid-cook disaster. These guys did it right: RIVETS joining the head to the handle, which is a single seamless piece of metal. 👍🏻 Sliding handle helps avoid burns if you accidentally grab too close to the head (though normally you’re in & out pretty quickly) 👍🏻 The price is affordable Some nitpicks but not dealbreakers: —Stainless steel has not rusted outside on a covered patio. And it’s sturdy enough to be used to move a piece of wood onto the fire. But it’s heavyish for extended work and a bit thick/rigid vs. aluminum. —Would love an option for a head diameter that’s an inch or 2 smaller. At 9”, this is a little too large for efficient turning work, especially if you have more than one pizza cooking at once (but does allow you to carry a finished 10-12” pizza inside without changing peels) Overall, highly recommended and at half the price of a GiMetal.

I am a Neapolitan Pizza fan, and have practiced this hobby for over 20 years. I have many pizza peels from long ones for pizza al metro to round one for turning. I bought this because it was slightly less expensive than others and appeared sturdy. I needed a 9" diameter since I had a 6" which is way too small. The product is excellent. This is not used to launch the pizza in the oven. This is used for turning the pizza while cooking at very high Neapolitan temperatures (~850F). It works well and have no complaint. Highly recommended. If you are looking for a pizza peel to launch the pizza, this is NOT it.

Needed a turning peel for my Alfa Brio oven. I've used this peel for a few dozen pizzas, and am very satisfied with the performance. It has a hefty quality feel to it, not a low quality item. I'm still deciding if I like the slider handle, it's easy to remove if I choose. Nice clean rivets, it's a nice turner that I do not regret purchasing. I orinally wanted a gi metal turner, but I feel this is just as good for half the price.

Works as designed, makes cooking the pizza easier

The 1 star reviews are uncalled for because those who wrote them did not use the product properly. This product is a pizza "turning" peel. It is used for turning a baking pizza already in the pizza oven! It's NOT for putting a prepared raw pizza in the oven. There are different pizza peels for that! Please read the product description before writing 1 star reviews and saying it doesn't work!

Jan. 2025 UPDATE I've used it for 2 seasons, it it has been great despite all the abuse (shuffling heavy pieces of wood, pushing hot coals, and yes turning many pizzas). I use this peel to not only spin pizza in the wood fired oven, but tend the fire, stir coals, lift pieces of wood into the fire. Used it for a month or so, it's held up very well.

Would purchase this turning peel again if I had to. Having said that, although it doesn't get in my way, for using in a small pizza oven such as our Ooni Karu 16, some folks might want a shorter handle length. But if you're handy with a hacksaw, file and a drill you can take care of that yourself. Compared to the crappy chinese variant I returned due to sharp edges that would tend to cut the pizza dough bottoms when turning in the oven, and for just a few $$ more, this is a pleasure to use.

Haven't used it yet but can't wait to try it in my pizza oven I cook pizza on a tray but would love to use the pizza peel
