Our grandson wears a size 8 toddler shoe, I did order a size smaller (6-7 toddler) because I wanted a snug fit, like a sock so that he could wear them getting in and out of the pool. His little toes got right to the end of the insole which is EXACTLY what I wanted. Other shoes that were his size left a gap which made swimming harder and held water in them when he would get out of the pool. The concrete around our pool gets very hot in direct sunlight and he’s just under the age of 2 so he doesn’t understand that he needs to get onto a towel or shady concrete. He just does a little dance and starts to cry!
