How is the hanger attached to the back of the stand ? Is it sturdy ?

It’s held on by a metal bar that hops to the back of the drawer. The stand is somewhat sturdy. I did have to put glue the mirror hole to keep it stable.

Is the color of this stand more like cherry or black? Is the true color depicted in this picture?

It is not more like Cherry. It is a little darker than the Picture. Very nice peice.
