Great stuff for us
One of my Shelties favorite flavors. He usually eats a 1/4 cup of pro plan and 1/8 cup of GL Macanna Beef. He’s on a reduced diet to loose weight. The Artisan chicken GL is a good recipe to try out for someone new to freeze dried. Winston loves the chicken and pork options. Also the Pureformance line is good. I alternate between the three lines of food and no stomach upset and he loves all the flavors.

MY DOGS LOVE THIS
Every morning now, I grab a handful of the dried Grandma Lucy's dried recipe and add it to their kibble. I add several tablespoons of water and mix it up. The dried powder clings to the kibble, and then.....it all disappears like magic! I have four small dogs with 3 of them being Cairn terriers, one an elderly dachshund. The dachshund is never a problem, she is an eager eater.....but the Cairns can be reluctant eaters some mornings. The Grandma Lucy's real meat addition, even dried, makes all the difference in the world. Now I cluster their bowls like a family meal, and whatever that dynamic is, the entire pack devours their meal! Just magic what a difference it made with no coaxing required.

Grandma Lucy's freez-dried beef food
Dogs love this. Easy to use. Just add warm water, stir & let sit for 5 minutes, then feed.

If it isn't eaten right away it turns into a "paste" like consistency.
My Shitzu liked it at first but quickly stopped eating it. It also caused him to have a bowl movement 2-3 time a day. We were using Dr Marty and were not having any issues but our Vet suggested we try Macanna as she felt it offered a mixture of ingredients. Dr Marty is freeze dried and all meats. (We changed our Vet too) If it isn't eaten right away it turns into a "paste" like consistency. Re-adding water helps but it still not right. We are back on Dr Mart and everything if all better!

Puppies favorite
I mix a couple different brands of dehydrated food along with raw rabbit/beef/salmon for my Alaskan Malamutes & Great Pyrenees. They love dinner time and lick the bowls clean,

Made with good ingredients
Got for My tiny senior dog - she ate it a few weeks then stopped. I add water and put in fridge overnight for next day’s servings. Doesn’t last as long as I thought it would…

Dogs don't like it
My dogs won't eat it and they love other dried foods. I'm so bummed

Nonplussed
Though it is a quality product, I much prefer the Artisan recipe. This Macana (sic [supposedly Hawaiian for gift, properly spelled makana]) is too soupy. I ended up freezing the soup into small orbs to use in puzzle toys, so it didn't go to waste entirely. Repurchase highly unlikely.
