Quality And Quantity
They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I posted 4 to help you decide. The plant in the green bowl in the square container is the flytrap that I bought from this seller (Predatory Plants). The pitiful looking flytraps in the orange and blue bowls are ones that I purchased online (at Pet Fly Trap) for close to the same price possibly more. The picture of the single flytrap in the small round pot is the same one that is in the blue bowl in the other picture close to about a month earlier. As you can see it arrived very small with a few dead parts. I was pleasantly surprised with the B-52 venus flytrap that I received from this seller on here (Predatory Plants) the heads on the flytraps were very large, robust, and healthy with tons of colorful traps/heads. The plant root ball was damp and carefully hand wrapped and it came with more than a generous amount of quality planting media along with a nice sized square pot (and not the crappy round kind that you get from some sellers) . The instructions that came with the plants were detailed, clear, and understandable. There is even a referenced video that you can check out if you get stuck. I will definitely keep them as my 1st go to for future carnivorous plant purchases. Update 8/12/2020 Original flytrap that I bought is still very much alive and doing extremely well even in the Texas heat and new growth has even appeared. I was so impressed that I ordered 2 more one more for myself and one for some friends. I just keep the distilled water in the bowls constantly not letting the plants dry out and both plants seem to be thriving. Still extremely happy with purchases.

These are the healthiest plants I've bought online. I have nearly 30
I was dubious about buying VFTs on Amazon. I have many of my current ones from tissue splice propagation and seed planting from three of mine that grew flowers after last year's dormancy period. But, even though my King Henrโs and Moontraps are doing well, I'm a sucker for a B-52. Other online vendors have shipped plants that were almost gone before they arrived. Not these beauties. Shown in the pictures in my new plant wusrsntern area before introducing them to their VFT family. They are in the second pit from the left to reference how well-established they are compared to the plant on the left, which I've had for six months. Directions were easy to follow and spot on. The plants were wrapped well with VERY healthy root systems. I did use the soil provided but will probably mix it 1:1 with perlite or silica sand like my others. Although pots were provided, I've had more luck over the years with self watering ones. Would I use this vendor again! Absolutely.

Shows up half dead... and NOT in a pot, no instructions. Mine never revived.
The listing even says it comes in a 3" pot, but that was not the case. It showed up wrapped in plastic and peet moss, not planted in a pot, and "sleeping" or dormant. The instructions are minimal and it says you have to plant it (no clear instructions as to how best to plant it, the soil to use, etc) and to trim the black pieces off. Well, half of it was black. So we planted it in fresh soil in a pot. I read online they likes drainage and sandy soil, to keep it wet and they are ok with direct sun. We live in Florida so I made sure it didn't get the hottest part of the sun, though. The thing just continued to wilt and die, it never "woke" up or revived. That was a waste of money. I missed the return window by a couple of days because I was trying to see if it would revive.

Interesting plant (possibly)
Mine arrived 9 days ago and like I expected, it looked like it had been through "shipping shock". Little by little it's looking a little better. Thank goodness for the detailed instructions which I'm following precisely. It is slowly growing new leaves with traps. I'm preparing for the plant to go into it's dormant stage over winter and have high hopes to see it start thriving in the Spring. I haven't seen it catch any insects yet. It was my grandson's idea to get this plant and we both are enjoying it.

Good quality plant
I got this for my son since his last one died on us. This one was much bigger and healthier then the other supplier we used. In one month it outgrew the little container and we needed to replant. After replanting it is doing well and grew even more wide. Has some small heads and huge heads. It ate a few house flies and other then that we feed it the gel type food, which seems to help too. It spit out a spider without digesting it, so I guess he hates those, but anything else it caught, or we fed him he accepted. Overall good flytrap. Arrived healthy and with good instruction. Lots of extra planting material if you need to replant, we did supply a little carnivorous plant soil on the bottom if the bigger pot so he didn't sit so low. But they packed it in an ample amount of moss.

Not consistent
This is my second time ordering this plant from this seller. The first time, I received a healthy and beautiful plant which thrived for about a year. Then the whole thing started turning black. I suspected it was going through dormancy phase but it's not the right season for that. I decided to get a new plant to replace the first one and received a really weak and sick looking plant. It already looks like it's dying and i've only had it for about a week. Very different from the plant I bought last year. Lots of black, blackening leaves and all the traps were closed. The leaves were not really green either, it was pale looking. I'm giving up on venus fly plants now.

Very pleased with my purchase!
Iโve always wanted a โB52โ Venus flytrap, and was excited when I was alerted that it was on its way. This flytrap got lost in the mail for 4 days! I called the US mail service , went to the post office, no one seemed to know where it was , and I was bummed. I thought that by chance if it were found and I got it, it would be dead. I was presently surprised when it showed up in my mailbox! Iโve purchased flytraps online from other sellers in the past, and none looked this healthy on arrival. There was also a detailed instruction sheet for care for the plant, and other carnivorous plants , which I kept , as I am thinking of expanding my carnivorous plant collection and get some pitcher plants. Thank you so much for a beautiful and healthy plant!

Have had mine for about three years (she's still going)
I bought this on a whim a few years ago. I always wanted a venus flytrap, and I'm a big fan of BIG organisms. So when I saw that this variety of venus flytrap had the biggest traps, I was like "okay, I'm in." Venus flytraps are native to my state, so they have a soft spot in my heart just for them. I don't remember what condition she was in when I got her, but I don't remember being concerned or disappointed at all. Plenty of substrate (moss) was included in the box as packaging, which I thought was a nice way to do it. I quickly got her into a small cheap pot with the moss and distilled water she needed. There are plenty of tutorials and resources on how to grow venus flytraps and other carnivorous plants, and I think the paper instructions included with the plant were thorough enough to get me started but not overwhelming. It's exciting to watch her grow. Every time she gets a tiny new leaf/trap, it gets talked about in my house. I've never watched her catch a bug, but it is also fun to see a trap open back up after she has caught something. Kind of gross, but cool. The pictures I included with this review are from various points in her life so far. She did really, really well last summer on the deck of my last home where she got lots of sun. I've never seen her get the brilliant red traps the variety is depicted as having, but that's probably just something I'm doing wrong. I was worried that I lost her over the winter because she was losing leaves one by one and there were a lot of little bugs in the substrate. I think they're just eating the moss and maybe other dead foliage, but I'm not 100% sure. In late summer last year she was being terrorized by cockroaches eating her leaves/traps but thankfully my new home doesn't have billions of cockroaches outside just waiting to feast upon tender venus flytrap flesh. She's starting to make a comeback now as the weather is warming up, hoping to see her in full glory soon.
