They really need to break that step down for people. It's really unintuitive. Basically you stand with the ends of the poles at your feet (clipped together per instructions) and the arch up by your waist. You grab the arch, but instead of attempting to fold it straight downwards, which would break the poles, you twist it as you push it down, by pushing only one arm down till your arm is fully extended, then wrenching the other arm across your waist before pushing down, while the other arm remains fully extended. LOL its not easy! Any, it ends up creating a sort-of figure 8. I always break a sweat out of nervousness before doing it, but it works and you'll get better at it as you practice. And despite that issue I find it to be a great tent. **Q: will this help keep you warmer in a tent from the cold?** A: We keep the side vents open because the tent becomes smouldering, otherwise. **Q: How tall is this when on a bed?** A: At its highest point it’s approx 36” inches from the top of the INSIDE of the tent to the mattress (standard). **Q: Does this tent block out 100% of the light? It recently became evident that my son would not fit in his toddler bed much longer. Our children have already been sharing a room for quite a while in anticipation of another child. But there was no way we could fit two twin size beds in their room and still have enough area for them to play in. We settled on bunk beds but then came the new problem of accomodating separate bedtimes. Our daughter is allowed to stay up 30 extra minutes to read in bed quietly. We had previously purchased another brand of privacy tents (Privacy Pop), but we quickly discovered our current ones would not work with bunk beds, especially with having the ladder on the end; the other tents only opened on the sides and I wasn't really pleased with the quality of the Privacy Pop bed tents from the start. Our solution was two-fold. I made some bed curtains for the bottom bunk, and we began looking for a privacy tent that would work with a bunk bed. I came across this Leedor Bed Tent, and we couldn't be happier.First, it fits nicely within the bunk bed frame without being smooshed or warped, a problem we had with the Privacy Pop.It also holds its shape well instead of sagging in the middle. Again this was another problem we had with the Privacy Pop. This difference is because the support poles for the Leedor Bed Tent go all the way from the front to the back instead of across the sides.Additionally, I love that it had ties on the bottom so that you can affix it around the bed frame near the corners. Making it more secure and less likely to shift.This bed tent also had lots of versatility regarding the configuration of doors, which also accommodates ventilation preference. My daughter sleeps warmer, so she has one end entirely open. This is also due to the previously mentioned fact that the ladder on the bunk bed is located on the end. She unzipped the top of the other end to expose the mesh for more ventilation, along with having both doors on the side unzipped along the bottom.When we purchased the Bunk Twin Leedor Bed Tent, the only color option available was Black. This actually couldn't have worked out better. My daughter was thrilled because she is currently obsessed with Harry Potter, wizards and witches, and all things dark and mysterious. I’m pleased because it blocks out the light really well. She can read in her bed with a light before her bedtime without disrupting her brother’s bedtime. Similarly, our son, who is night training, can get up and use the bathroom during the night without disturbing his sister.Assembly was easy with one exception, inserting the support poles into the tent. I recommend two people for this task. It's a very, very snug fit, but that's expected. It's similar to setting up a camping tent, and that snug fit is what helps it to keep its shape so well.I highly recommend the Leedor Bed Tent, especially if you have siblings that share a room. Due to new ownership of our last beach cottage my family had to find a new place to rent. Going up before the season started, we found a cottage close to the rest of the families we vacation with. The cottage was great for location, however the only downside was there were not enough beds, someone in our family had to sleep on the couch! Knowing that everyone else was bringing their significant other and I was not, I knew I was going to be stuck. I started doing some research, this tent looked like the best option and it worked out great! We brought up a twin mattress which fit perfectly inside with ease, threw in some blankets and pillows and presto instant bed room. I went with the darker color incase I wanted to take a nap during the day, I figured it would block out the sun easier, which it did! The tent was very breathable and the fabric was a good durable quality. It has many sections with zipper access so no matter where you decide to put it, you have access to get in. But wait, you need your phone right? Open up another zipper close to an outlet, plug in your charger, put the cord in your tent and zip the opening closed. Need access to something else? Open up the zipper closest to what you are looking for. The tent also has a hanging mesh pocket to store items. Perfect spot to put your glasses so they don't get crushed, wallet or other items you want to keep close to you.The set up was very easy, it literally just pops into place just like the instructions say. But who reads the instructions? I know I didn't, I just untied all the little straps and once I unbuckled the two larger straps on each side it literally sprung up at me. But that's what a good laugh is for. So when setting it up make sure you follow the instructions and have a good grip on it before you unbuckle it. Packing it away was just as easy. Following the instructions, you just fold it into a figure 8, buckle the straps back up and put it away in the storage bag. Cleaning it is just as easy! each pole is removeable and you can just put it right into the washing machine. Once its dry, install the poles and fold it back up.Out of a 1-10, I would give this product a 10. I was a little hesitant because of the price but it worked out great and was just what I needed. And with the quality of the product I know it will last for many years to come, for whichever occasion it calls for. I just wish it was sound proof, but that's what ear plugs are for.
