I got this as a little distraction that involved mental stimulation and creativity. Plus to help with some hand tremors. I’m definitely not musically inclined, but it is so easy to play. I’ll probably get one for my grandkids when they are a little older.The sound is a little better than expected for what it is. You won’t be holding concerts, but it sounds smooth enough. Some tines resonate really well and some are short. Overall it is fun to play. And I’m glad it came with several little songs to learn on.

This works better than I thought it might, but the pitch on a couple of the "tines" is off. I can use it for students as a motivating novelty, briefly, but wouldn't want to train their ears this way. The sound is pretty good for its size. Any age range could do this--easy to use--except maybe preschoolers. It fits as you see, right in the palm, so can go anywhere.

This was a birthday gift for our 8 year old and he loves it! Super easy to learn songs on and it comes with a small booklet of songs. Very cute size and fun beginner musical instrument that doesn't feel like it's for a little kid. Sounds great and us adults have had fun with it too!!

I like to leave my kalimba mini On my desk. I play it when I’m on hold! It’s really fun, and has a pleasant tone.

Gave as a stocking stuffer gift to my grandchild but one key is out of tune and it can't be tuned without messing up the other keys. Disappointing…

I purchased this finger thumb piano as a gift donation for a 16 year old autistic child who loves music., along with other musical items. It arrived in a nice sturdy little box. I was only expecting the thumb piano, but was pleasantly surprised to find a folded strip of paper with musical songs that could be played on it. Also, came with a nicely black beaded rope ( inside a plastic bagggie) that can be attached through a hole (at the top of the thumb piano) to carry or hang when not in use. I am really impressed on how well the Thumb Nail Piano is made. The wood is nice and the sound exactly what I expected. The photo attached does not do it justice. Much nicer than it looks. I can not take another picture as it’s already been wrapped.

Have a young Keychain collector who absolutely loved this gift. Size is perfect to add to her collection and while she has not mastered playing it (yet) several of her classmates have so it's become a bit hit in her high school.
