Top of the Line Stuff! The quality of the line is superior to the dozens of others I've used over the many years of angling, seeming to be much stronger while still allowing for finessing abilities and maintaining strength throughout the day/life of the line. So far, I've managed to reel in several different species of fish, showing its diversity and functionality as well as providing an easier line to work with when it comes to securing various types of knots. Just another A++ for KastKing and look forward to trying out more of their products! I've been so impressed with the various products they offer that I've left a lot of other "bigger" name brands, and certainly more EXPENSIVE brands! A++ Product & Performance! Solid performance at a reasonable price. More or less the idea for all the KastKing products. Is this the best mono I've ever used? Probably not (bring back Cabelas mono!), but it does the job well. Stretch is good, but not out of this world. Abrasion, well, don't expect miracles, but it's also reasonable. Easy to make knots and they hold well. Again, just a solid line. I'll no doubt buy more. Casts well from spinning reels and the diameter is pretty good.

My fifty + years of fishing has been an obstacle course in finding great fishing line. I tried braid, copolymer, monofilament, flourocarbon with varying results but no real winner. Cost is a big consideration. I tried so many brands and spent a ton of money and time using the various fishing lines. Mono became my all purpose choice. I am a 100% bass fishermen. Don't take the hype on specific line for specific baits teachers. Monofilament still out sells them all. Back to Kast King. I bought this and had no previous experience or even a word about Kast King. I read their advertisement, liked it and decided to try it. Well i am blown away. The line has zero memory, spools perfectly on my shimano curados and is extremely clear and after putting 15,17,20 # lines to the test i am happy to say this Kast King is outstanding. Don't be like i was and be like i am now. Try Kast King for yourself. Find out if i'm telling the truth.

In some of my crappie spots, I need to cast light jigs (1/32-1/16oz) over a long distance. This calls for light tackle with thin line. However, very often there are big fish (bass/catfish) there and I don't want to lose lure and fish too easily. After trying different monofilament line, I have settled down on Suffix Siege 6lb for a while. Recently I bought KastKing Stealth and Kodiak reels and were surprising happy with both. So I wanted to give the KastKing 6lb mono line a try. And the result is again surprisingly happy! Compared with the Suffix Siege 6lb mono, KastKing premium mono is: Thinner (diameter of 0.009 vs 0.010); Stronger (KastKing has a real capacity of about 7~8lb); Casts more smoothly (about 10-20% farther); and Feels bite and sets hook better (Suffix Siege is a little softer which absorbs the force). The tiny more stiffness might be a challenge for beginners if not handled properly (for example over spooling, loose retrieving), but it never bothered me. And it brings more benefits than challenges. After about one hour of fishing and 30+ crappies caught, I started to love this line!

I like Kastking line. I do. Use it a lot including their fluorocarbon. How come only 3 stars? Their spools have have a design problem. Put the dang line holding slot on ONE side not BOTH! There’s no easy way without a fancy spool holder device to wind line on a spinning reel. No matter which way you try you hit that stupid slot because its on BOTH sides. As near as I can tell the 600 yard spools do not have slots on both sides. The 300 yards do however. STOP IT KASTKING!

This line is definitely a different texture from other common brands such as Stren or Trilene. The feel is more silky and soft. I chose this 4lb test for fishing panfish and perch. Monofilament stretches the most of other line types and that actually helps by keeping tension on the lure during the landing of fish, without too much stress at any time. I see no need to go down to 2 lb, like some panfish anglers choose to.
