ROMECH 60W Fabric Cutter Rope Cutter, Pro Electric Hot Knife Heat Sealer with Adjustable Power, Cutting Tool Kit with Blades & Accessories (60W, RM-017)

I bought the ROMECH 60W Fabric Cutter Rope Cutter mainly for cutting synthetic rope and kite materials, and it’s been a solid tool overall. It heats up quickly, cuts clean through rope without fraying, and definitely saves time compared to doing it by hand. I’ve also used it on webbing and fabric for kite repairs and custom projects. The handle feels comfortable, and once it’s hot, it glides through material pretty easily. Just make sure you work in a ventilated area because melted synthetic material can create some smoke. The included blades are decent, but having extras on hand is a good idea if you use it often. If you work with rope, fabric, banners, kites, or synthetic materials regularly, it’s a worthwhile tool to have in the shop.

Used this to cut an 11 mm climbing rope. Can't speak for multiple repeated cuts but for the two quick ones I had to make this worked very well. The blade it came with was perfect for the task. I ended up doing the cut over concrete walkway.

Bought this here because like so many we came to amazon looking for a lower priced but still functional tool over the expensive tools that are aimed at production shops. Jackpot. We've been using it once or twice a week for a few weeks now and so far so good. It starts, gets hot fast and glades through the acrylics like a hot knife goes through butter. Haven't tried it on poly ropes yet but have no doubts about serving the purpose. Reccomended. One star off because it's heavy-ish and the tooling is a little rough in some spots

I use it for cutting cordura fabric as it both cuts and seals the edges to prevent fraying. It heats up almost instantly and is very easy to control.

I wish I had purchased this sooner! I have made numerous items out of Sumbrella, and always had an issue with edges fraying. This tool allowed me to make a complete Bimini top with no fraying edges at all. It cut through the material easily, and was very simple to use. Very simple to cut right wher I wanted too, much easier than attempting to do with scissors. My only regret is that I didn’t buy the one with adjustable heat, if not careful the blade does get too hot and makes the edge black. Contrary to previous reviews the gun fits perfectly in the case with the blade and guard attached. Overall I would recommend this to anyone.

This is the first time I've used a hot knife and I am very impressed with this one. It works quick and easy. It got hot fast and cut through the line with very little pressure. The line was whipped beforehand because I didn't have a good feel for how well it work work. For using it to cut a 1/2 line 3 times it worked great. It seems well built and should have a long life.

Works great. I am trying to balance my sewing equipment between the quality and high price of Sailrite and the quality and price savings of Amazon. This product has served me well for a fraction of the Sailrite price. I highly recommend for the hobbyist maker.
