Red Base Waxed Amaryllis Flower Bulb with Stand, No Water Needed

No kidding. Two separate stalks EIGHT blooms. Great product

I have purchased several amaryllis waxed bulbs and this is the first one that I am sooo disappointed with. The size of the bulb was so small. It took over a months before I saw any green. Finally it did flower and the size of the flower was so small as well as the height. This plant could have used more time to mature before being sold. I know you never know what you will get but for this price I expected a better quality plant. I included a picture of it next to two that I took the wax off and planted.

Lasts a really long time.

These are so nice to give to friends and compare progress. It’s really a crap shoot. Some take off like gangbusters and others don’t do much. One of my friends has five blooms to date and mine is only 6 inches high with no evidence of a flower

Initial bulb received not in good condition, wax severely missing.. So disappointed I love Amaryllis flowers. I buy them every Christmas. Will order from this company again? Overpriced? Requested free replacement and wax is intact. Replacement bulb in perfect condition and has increasing green foliage now. First bulb when discarded was rotted with fluids leaking at the bottom.

I purchased a Red Base Waxed Amaryllis for my 94-year-old mother. The bulb arrived damaged. All the water had leaked into the shipping package and after 3 weeks the bulb had withered. I contacted the seller and told them about the issue. They immediately shipped my mom a new bulb, which arrived in 3 days. This bulb was/is perfect! The bulb began growing from the day she received it. She says she can practically watch it grow. She is delighted and so am I! My mom lives in an assisted living facility and currently has Covid. She will be quarantined for 10 days. The Amaryllis is keeping her company and cheering her apartment. Thank you, Holland, for standing by your product and brightening my mother's world.

UPDATE: it is now February 24th. The tallest stalk on one of the bulbs has reached 1.75 inches. Pathetic. RECOMMENDATION: Don’t buy from Holland Bulb Co. I thought these would be a great gift. Not so. From 12/13/21 through 01/15/2022, the amaryllis has only grown this much (see photos). Last year I used a different company, but I thought I’d purchase the Holland Bulb Co waxed amaryllis through Amazon because, hey, free shipping. I’m so disappointed. I gave one each to different people. None have flowered, or even grown. Last year, the other company’s bulbs were into their second stem fo full blooms by now. Also, the bulbs came with the wrong instructions. The instructions said to put them in the soil right away or store them in a cool place. My friends were calling me asking if I expected them to plant in winter. I’ll have to purchase extra nice gifts next year. These were a dud! I am so terribly disappointed, as are my friends.
