Perfect greenhouse growing kit. Nice and sturdy, small and compact to fit in any room and very easy to use with minimal maintenance. Lighting is great and great price for the value of this product.

This is a simple mini greenhouse propagator that can be used indoors for those plants that can't handle the cold or heat, which ever may apply, outside. I started my seeds indoors since the heat here in the Chihuahuan Desert is extreme during the summer months. We go from winter almost immediately into Summer temps. So, the plants I'm starting are native plants to this region but the time frame for them to start germinating is a very short window when the temps are more moderate. So I'm starting them indoors with this mini greenhouse. It works great. However, there is no substitute for real sunshine and good air circulation. I have installed a small fan intended for computers. I placed it inside on a small box but I take my plants outside first thing at sunrise for an hour or two before the temps reach triple digits and they benefit from this alot. I also take the top off for about two hours in the evening after the light is off. I have the light on for sixteen hours and it's on a timer...sold separately.

I am giving this 3 stars because of the *very* flimsy materials used. The "lid" is on par with a plastic bag in terms of it's strength. To make matters worse, you cannot adjust the light and get it closer to the ground for starting seedlings so get ready for some spindly non-transplantable seedlings. The one thing that is great is the light! The light is awesome and I would highly recommend just buying the light and mounting it in a way that allows you to get the seedlings close to it. In other words, this product was too expensive for what you get and the results were innefective. I would not purchase the same thing again, but I have purchased more of the sunblaster brand lights.

I love to start my seeds in the late winter to get my plants a head start! In the past I’ve set up a huge set of lights that takes up the entire table, so I decided to try these out. The kits works really well! But I cannot give it 4 stars for a few reasons: 1) the full shop light greenhouse I set up is leaps and bounds superior to this kit. The plants grown in this kit were just not as healthy and happy. 2) the lights only really support what was in the very middle of the dome. The plants on the edge just didn’t receive the light I had hoped. I loved having just one that was simple to set up and took very little space, but if I want to grow more than a few things I will definitely use my bigger rig rather than buying another one of these.

I already owned 3, bought 3 more. they stack very compactly when not in use/off season storage. (keep the light's box to store the light and reflector safely in.) The lights are Very Bright. and though they get a little warm, they don't get hot. and they sit securely in the groove on top of the nanodome. I have three other 7" domes to cover seedling flats, but I like these the best. They are super clear, and the vents are nice. Update: I bought the first three from outside Amazon loved them, so bought more here on Amazon. I was shipped damaged items (the outer boxes were fine but the inner boxes and products were damaged and had obviously been returned at least once. They were also not as originally packaged. The product itself is a very good product, but the seller needs to be scrutinized closely for reliability and care in shipping something made of thin plastic-- should be shipped like glass. carefully. and NOT ship out damaged goods. I returned the damaged items (2 of three ordered) and reordered 2 more from my original vendor who packed originally packaged items carefully for shipment-- Ali's organic. Update 2: Amazon fulfillment center was responsible for shipping the damaged boxes/products. the following was from the company that I ordered the minigreenhouses from--""Sorry to hear that Amazon shipped you 2 damaged mini greenhouses when we put them on sale last week, but I see they refunded you already from our account. They are responsible for shipping and for ensuring that any items we sent to them for fulfillment arrived in good shape and are not sent on damaged to our Customers. If they arrive damaged at the Amazon fulfillment Center, they are supposed to be set aside as unfulfillable and make a UPS insurance claim, which they apparently didn't do.""

Love these. They work great for sprouting seeds.

Ive used this two years in a row now. My tomato, okra, and jalapeños seeds took off quickly. The light that comes with this kit is light weight and lasts a long time. The lid, for being plastic is quite strong and the bottom tray is the same. Very sturdy and great quality for the price. HIGHLY Recommend

Ordered this combo kit because I thought it was a nicely compact unit for germination. In other reviews it has been mentioned that the dome was flimsy. I unpact this item to find that the dome has enough support for the lighting kit on top, but the lighting kit is where the problem is. Though the light is bright enough, I bought 2 kits to lean that one kit came with a bad ballast. I turned both units on and within 8 seconds the light from one kit would shut off. I swapped bulbs and turned the switch back on, to find the same result. So now, I have to spend another $43 with standard shipping to get 2 working units (which I have already paid for in the first order) again. This bad ballast didn't happen over a period of time, it was shipped to me bad and is a direct result of the quality control at the parent company that manufactures the product.

It is a nice and well designed product.A little pricey but I’m happy with it.Works great.I‘ll be getting another.I really like the option for daisy chaining a few together(cords and hardware included).

Didn’t like that there were holes in the bottom of the tray. I had to line it before using. 1 week after purchasing I found at WalMart for $59.99. Made me sad. Couldn’t return as I had it all set up. Works as expected other than tray holes.

Get babies starting off strong.
