Clear picture, ease of use
I bought this otoscope because my daughter keeps getting ear infections and sometimes doesn’t notice until they’ve gotten pretty bad. This has been such a helpful tool—it connects right to my phone, and the picture quality is excellent. I can clearly see inside her ear, which gives me peace of mind and helps me decide if we need to call the doctor sooner. The device is simple to use, lightweight, and the app was easy to set up. The light and camera work really well together so you can actually see what’s going on without any guesswork. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time, and it feels well made. Highly recommend for any parent who wants to keep an eye on ear issues at home!

Perfect for helping sick kiddos!!
This product is AMAZING! I was planning on just buying one of the old school otoscopes. I’m SOOOO glad my husband found this instead. We have gotten sick every month since last June - we’ve had everything from Covid, to RSV, to some strange respiratory infection that almost killed my husband and I… our 3 kids under 5 got very very sick. I thought maybe they had ear infections from being sick so much so we ordered this. At first, I thought it was overkill but after getting it all set up (downloading the app) and using it! Holy! I LOVE IT. I pull it out now for each sickness. It’s as big of a medical staple in our home as humidifiers, Tympanic thermometers, and bandaids. It has multiple little pieces to attach on the end that can help remove earwax build-up SAFELY. We have used this for our kiddos and it has been a life changer for cleaning out their ears. I let the kids hold the phone and watch on the app (they LOVE it and will hold still for the cleaning). I thought the app would be annoying - nope! It’s simple, straightforward, and easy to use. No bugs or issues. And it lets you TAKE PICTURES!! This is sooo important - because you can TAKE this into the doctors and say “hey, I just got this picture of my 2 yr old’s ears. Is this an infection?” They can check it out - but they can also look at the picture you got and talk about what they see! It’s sooo helpful. We were able to catch multiple ear infections in my 2 yr old (who showed NONE of the signs - no ear pulling, no avoidance of food, etc.). He was just sick. I honestly can’t think of any cons. It’s been a great help. Simple to use. Holds its charge on the battery. My kids love it. I love it. Just buy it. You seriously won’t regret it.

App needs work but love the otoscope.
If I was rating the device itself I would rate it a 5. It’s amazing. But I hate the app. It never stays connected. It drives me insane. However, I feel it’s still worth the hassle because I get great images I can send to my friends if I’m concerned about my daughter’s ears. It’s really fun to use.

Perfect!
So easy to set up and then it worked! Brilliant clear amazing images better than the images on monitor I saw in the ENT’s office. Once in a while I need vent tubes in my ear to manage a chronic illness. Some doctors are reluctant even though this is a proven protocol. I’ve had a doctor look in and tell me my tubes were in place only to have an hearing aid audiologist print me out a picture of no tube and healed eardrum. It’s best to arm yourself with the facts when dealing with these most mercurial of specialists. They often have a different agenda than the patient. It might be reimbursement rates or maybe they just want the day over so they can go home. Who knows. Over 30 years I’ve needed to look for new ENTs because of the high rate of retirement. Then I have to persuade them all over again. Like they know better than I do what I’m going through and the cost I’m paying.I now can bring an image to back up my assertion and forestall any delays. Means a lot when you are suffering in allergy season! It’s not all stuffed noses and inconvenience. Ear problems like mine lead to disabling deafness, dizziness, whirling vertigo, migraines and acute nausea that goes on nonstop. Thanks for an excellent and reasonably priced product. 5🌟

Worked Flawlessly
We purchased this otoscope because our son was complaining of ear pain during COVID so we could have a telemedicine appointment for him. And it worked perfectly! First off, the product is professionally-packaged and seems to be of durable construction. It comes with a user guide, charging cable, and lots of attachments to view into the ear canal and clean out earwax, if necessary. Installation was simple. There is an app that you need to download (which has poor reviews, but I can't understand why) and then you sync your phone with the otoscope. The whole process takes maybe 3 minutes. The picture quality was really good for the size of the camera that you're placing into a very small ear canal. Don't expect Bluray quality, though. For the money, this product was a great value and I would highly recommend it to someone else. Just please be careful with your ears. Remember that your eardrums are very delicate and you could probably do some damage with anything that you stick in your ears, this included.

Great product!! Could cause injury!!
As a hearing care specialist I’ve used a $4,000 video otoscope in my practice for the past 30 years. I am shocked and amazed at the resolution and quality of the imaging with this device, and I’m even more shocked by the low cost! I ordered a similar device several years ago but returned it because of the poor image quality and overall quality. This one however is a keeper! I was able to clean the wax from my right ears just as well as I’ve ever been able with the big machine in my office. I would caution anyone that it could be dangerous to perform this task unless experienced in doing so. I would recommend extreme caution so as to not damage skin tissue in the ear canal or more importantly not to puncture the eardrum. If your ear is occluded such that you cannot clearly see the eardrum, you should seek professional attention. But for anyone with children, especially with recurring ear infections this instrument could be invaluable if you go slow and become familiar with the appearance of a normal ear canal and eardrum. Then you may be able to confirm the need to take the child to the physician’s office. I am truly impressed with the progress in technology to provide this device, but I do feel some study and practice is essential for its use to avoid potentially serious injury. A healthy amount of fear and hesitation is called for until you become experienced and proficient with the use of the otoscope, particularly with the use of the cleaning tools. By using the cone shaped specula, the viewing of the ear should be relatively safe so long as the skin tissue of the ear canal is not gouged. A gentle pull in an upward fashion of the outer ear will straighten the ear canal to make it safer. I would strongly recommend anyone contemplating the purchase of this device to seek at least some video training for its use, which in my opinion should be included with its purchase. Perhaps such training is available on YouTube. As to my review of the product itself, the imaging is just as good as very expensive professional equipment, but with a much smaller viewing screen. The Bluetooth pairing was seamless and works with my iPhone seamlessly. I have nothing negative to say about the device except for the lack of training materials which I deem extremely important prior to its use. 5 stars for the product itself less 2 full stars for the inherent risk of injury for lack of adequate, accompanying training materials.

Takes great pictures,
Easy to use, I love being able to look in my ears and seeing what is happening. I have a lot of ear troubles, and this saves me a lot of money by being able to take a picture and send it into my doctor.

Not for younger toddlers/babies…
Camera quality is ok. It takes a while for auto focus to adjust image quality clear enough for any interpretation. Because of that, using it on a baby or toddler who isn’t cooperative enough to stay still, is almost not an option. Battery life is excellent and instructions, including using phone app is easier to use. If already connected to a home wifi or something, it requires manual wifi connection switch in phone settings at each usage. This would work great for older kids and adults. If you are buying for younger toddlers or babies, consider these factors.

Easy to set up, works great!
Ordered as my son gets frequent ear infections and it’s really hard to get into a doctor at short notice. I can now check how bad his ear is to know whether it’s urgent or can wait a day or two. Camera works great, it was really easy to set up to my phone, the kids love seeing inside their ear!

Easy wax removal tool
Ordered this to view in my child’s ear and it works perfectly, easy to connect to the app on the iPhone. Tool given was easy to remove the wax but wish it comes with a long extension tweezer to get the hard wax or grommets out. Would recommend this tool to anyone who has wax in their ears.

Doesn’t work, will return
Product doesn’t work. Will connect for exactly 15 seconds before it disconnects from the app. It’s still connected to the wifi and yes all the other settings are on and correct. It simply just stops working in the app after a brief moment working .

Easy to Use, But Poor Image Quality
I have used these devices before, and while this brand is very easy to set up, the image quality is disappointing. The picture isn’t clear and often looks distorted, which makes it difficult to use effectively. If the image resolution were improved, I would really love this product because the handles are well-designed and very easy to use quite similar to the professional ones used by doctors.
