Incredible Camera, Extremely Stable
I have several Ring cameras and a Ring security system I love the system. All of my cameras work really well and they are hard wired for power. We have them connected over Wi-Fi and they are about 98% reliable. The issue is not with the cameras but with my wireless. I have a lot, of devices in my house using wi-fi which can put a strain on the cameras. We need a remote camera to monitor my daughters apartment at school because she came home during Covid-19. Her roommate went home and gave the key to her friend. We wanted to ensure that no one was using the apartment. We needed a camera that was reliable because the apartment is two hours away and we did not want to make multiple trips to reboot it.I saw this camera and it had two features that make it perfect. The first is that it has a network connection so it does not have to rely in problematic wi-if access. Second, it supports power over Ethernet which allowed me to place it anywhere a Ethernet cable could reach. When mounting cameras, need access to power can limit your options. PoE is simple and very advantages. I was really happy to find that the camera included the PoE adapter.I was able to plug this in and have it up and running in a few minutes. Mounting is easy and it has the customary Ring locking security but with a plastic cover to hide it. This keeps the network cable from being detached without unmounting the camera. This is not a full-proof option but it will definitely slow someone down and probably prevent someone from just trying to disconnect it.I have had this camera mounted and running straight now for 3 months and the picture and stability is amazing. I havenāt had a singles issue with it. It has done its job detecting people as they have entered the apartment (so far only maintenance people). There camera has a hefty price tag but it is worth every penny if you need a reliable security camera backed with great software.

Love the elite version for good reasons! Highly recommended!
This is the first cam I should've bought and not wasted time with the stick up cam wired one. Sure it's the more expensive one but you get what you pay for. The elite version has slightly upgraded hardware and POE (power over ethernet). The POE works awesome and bringing up live view is super fast (even faster if you use rapid ring app but they really should rather focus on the main ring app to make that the same speed!). I also really love the mount it comes with and this should be standard with the stick up cam wired one.One of the best reasons to get the elite is for the much wider field of view compared to the stick up cam wired/battery version. Another is the fact that you can do the motion trigger zones. With the stick up cam wired/battery you cannot select specific areas and have to rely on turning off 3 sensors that you cannot customize in any way. That alone was terrible. I like to be able to select specific areas to monitor instead of the entire line of view. The view quality is really clear, sharp and vivid; just what you need for a nice 1080p video/liveview. Another area that the elite version rocks in is the color night vision. Only the in door cam and elite have the color night vision. I really am not sure who is designing these cameras and only giving it to these models but not the best idea IMO. I had zero issues setting up the elite and it's been running flawless. The motion triggers are ultra fast and super nice. I also like the fact that you can select people only mode if you want to have it trigger on humans only. I rather not mess with that feature and leave the zones to do their job. And oh, get the black color. It is super sleek looking and less visible at night.Highly recommended!

Best ring camera
Iāve had no problems with these cameras Iāve probably used a dozen of them for small businesses I help set up. I use one at home as well. The main reason I love them is the PoE (Power over Ethernet) feature. I can power them over a PoE switch at work or a small injector at home so I donāt need bulky power supplies. This makes it easy for businesses since it is easy to run Cat6 cable yourself. The last thing you want is a power cable running into an outlet within reach of someone that can just unplug it. Plus itās also the cable that it can transmit the data through. It responds so much faster on the app when you donāt use your WiFi.Plus if you have a bunch of these you donāt want them to big down your WiFi with tons of camera uploads. Ring also has the best subscription plan compared to other alternatives. Itās only $10/month for unlimited cameras. The cameras cost more up front, but you save money on the long run with the subscription. I also use the ring security system for work and home and professional monitoring is included with that subscription as well. Great quality and value. I wish these would come back in stock. I need to buy at least 4 more. I hope this long out of stock period doesnāt mean they are discontinued.

Great camera, CS not helpful, stored vid acct accessed and my home fire evidence footage deleted
I've been dealing with pretty horrible events and was so happy when these became avail with important features esp with instant remote save bc my network keeps getting compromised by someone in msk (russian) timezone. Unfortunately that was short lived. My stored video seems to be getting intercepted and deleted out of my account. its one thing reading packets its another actually being able to delete source file frames, you can only do that with direct server access. I worked for a company called Seachange who has ppl working for them who knows how to decrypt video to delete frames but never heard of anyone else being able to do it. I was SA'd by one of their senior eng and horribly stalked, so was really hoping for a good solution in Ring. Tried to work with Ring CS and just got a bunch of bad attitude and refusal to help. I would, if I was Amazon, allow ppl views of entire access history server-side and an escalation path bc the CS ppl were horribly rude. Still buying the cams, hoping the sec cld tighten. The other requests would be 1) add backup network capabilities i case network compromised, 2) sd card backup intil the network gets back up, 3) system level access ligs that ca't be deleted bc the guy doing this is always deleting the logs.
