This book is the perfect starting point if you want to do research on the japanese fashion/clothing designers and their work. It explains much not only about their work in general but also about their techniques and philosophies.However, as the other reviewer pointed out, the book is flawed. My copy is missing pages 17-48 and substituted them with pages 81-112, which are again repeated in the order later on. This proved to be a major stepback in my research. I don't believe I can return the book as I already marked it with my notes.
