I love this whistle. I'm going to cry when I lose it. I'm a coach and I've probably had 50 whistles over the last 25 years. By far, this is the best. It's loud. Give it a nice solid blast, and even the kindergartners will listen up. Only problem is if you're coaching little kids, they keep trying to blow it when you're not looking.I coach mostly on turf, with those black rubber granules. They tend to get inside the whistle, along with some turf. All I do is swipe my pinky finger to clear it out. It's not really a problem, but something maybe of interest.The grip fits naturally several different ways for comfortability. It's hard plastic, but lightweight so it won't chip teeth.My favorite feature of this whistle is the sound. It makes a loud chirp and is unwavering.

Exactly what I was looking for - loud and convenient. It isn't exactly a fashion accessory, but that's fine so that it is obvious to anyone who notices that my young daughter has this whistle on her person while we are at campsites, in the woods, etc. This should be able to alert daddy to come to the rescue, and startle and scare away predators of all sizes and types. I haven't tried it underwater yet or anything else crazy, but it carries like crazy through the fields, woods, mountains and valleys where we have taken it.

Definitely clear and very loud! I can't imagine wanting a safety whistle any better than this one. I like the orange color because it is easier to see, especially at night. I'm probably going to place some reflector tape on the sides. That way, I can locate it readily using a flashlight. I would definitely recommend this safety whistle to any of my friends. It could save your life! GO FOR IT!

I'm a school crossing guard. There are times of year when the sun is right in the eyes of the drivers, that is when my police whistle is replaced by this whistle. Also used for speeders and in bad weather. It is loud and can be washed out from time to time to clean it.

I have'nt had the chance to give it a full 'test' as of yet, but one of the most common things I get asked, is if I have some kind of cancerous growth on my stomach, (as I like to wear it under my shirt, and being as large as it is, it makes an outline) It is 'pea-less' and from what I've heard so far, is VERY LOUD. Just how loud it is depends on how hard you blow it, and aside from the half-hearted attempt I made before, I still don't know how loud it can be! I also read it can be heard from 50' underwater, which I have yet to test as well (If they claimed it could be heard in space, I just might try it!) My intent in buying it, was to see if it's full volume would be enough to scare off dogs, as I ride a bicycle, and sometimes I take a short 'detour' through a wooded area with a trail of loose gravel, that runs by a creek. Hopefully it won't happen (because I'd really rather it not) but I also have the whistle to use on any of nature's creatures, like bears, cougars, or coyotes, just in case the unlikely (and unwanted) happens, and I come face to face with one of them. Hopefully it will scare them off, (or, at the least) stun them long enough to help me escape! Rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it; and this IS a 'safety' whistle after all, right?

I had to blow it strongly. It's made durably but I wouldn't buy another one.

This whistle is VERY loud. It sounds like it might be heard a kilometre away. Great for signaling in emergency situation. Heck, the whistle is bright blaze orange: you couldn’t lose it if you tried!

Although the whistle itself is quite loud and comes without any scratches, the packaging is very suspicious. The package included the whistle, a black lanyard, and a piece of paper with a cheap photocopy inside a ziplock bag (pictures included for reference). Although the whistle may be of good quality, the packaging makes it look unoriginal (if at most a refurbished whistle). But definitely not worth the ₹1975 I paid for it. Please search for another seller that sells in original packaging. Don’t buy from this whistle from this seller.

Very loud indeed. Grreat for hooking onto the pfd. Orange colour bright so make it eaay to find them. Good plastic quality and Made in USA. Do not confuse with the smaller model. This is bigger version. Both made in USA. Recommended.

I use this for scuba diving and have not been disappointed. It is very loud (loud enough to catch the attention of my pick up boat that was far away). I imagine this whistle is very effective in many other situations too. It is a little bulky but still small enough to fit into your pocket!

Very loud, I'm satisfied with the purchase. I will be using this when I bike in the brush, hike on trails, and my wife will use it when she's out running alone. Great safety whistle, highly recommended!
