Bosch 436476 Lint Screen for Dryer

Original finally got replaced. Easy replacement took me long enough.

I FAITHFULLY USE A CLEAN LINT SCREEN DURING ANY DRYIN SESSION....IN FACT I WILL HAULT THE DRYER DURING ITS SESSION TO CLEAN THE LINT FILTER.....A FILLED LINT FILTER IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST FIRE HAZARD IN THE HOME......THANKS FOR CARRYING BRAND NAME ORIGINAL ITEMS.

Worked absolutely perfect. No more error messages. Lint no longer seeps into the dryer. 100% satisfied.

Perfect to replace old one. The dryer screen should be cleaned every load. But sometimes replacing it is a safer option. So nice I can just order.

This is a perfect replacement for your Bosch dryer, but the design of the screen isn't very good. The tight mesh fabric traps plenty of lint, but it can get clogged quite easily. If you use dryer sheets - and I'd guess most people do - then the mesh gets gummed up with residue. Then you have areas of the lint screen that are effectively useless since the mesh is clogged with residue. Plus, there are lots of nooks and crannies in the filter frame that lint can get trapped in and is difficult to remove. My old Kenmore dryer's lint screen did not have these problems at all. I've tried numerous different brand dryer sheets and they all clog up the lint screen eventually. Not using dryer sheets at all prevents this gum-up. You can wash this lint screen in the dishwasher top rack but even that doesn't completely clean off the residue. Bottom line, you'll need to replace this lint screen every year or so (depending on your laundry volume, of course) to maintain full lint filtering ability without impeding airflow. Fortunately, Amazon carries this filter regularly and it's relatively inexpensive.
