I have several pots of bulbs sitting around and wanted a central place to put them all and get rid of some pots. I spotted this online and it took some time to convince myself I could justify the price. I had my husband purchase this for me as a birthday present! It arrived packaged very securely from Mayfair. I was stunned by the superior quality of this planter. The watering system, the interior, the drain system were all very professional. It is made of thick molded polypropyline. While it is lightweight it is heavy duty! I ordered it in the bright white since our house is white. It fits perfectly between two pilings. Looks gorgeous! It came with a toll free number on the info sheet and came with directions. FYI on youtube there are great videos which display this planter and how to correctly plant various types of plants inside. I have no doubt this lovely planter will last for years. While it is an investment financially I believe it will be well worth the cost not to have to replace it for many years.

I love these planters. I now have 10 of these in different sizes and they have weathered at least 2 nasty NYS winters so far and they still look brand new. They are easy to clean with the hose and do not appear to have lost their color at all despite being in full sun. I have used them for annuals as well as cedars and dwarf fruit trees and lilacs and they work very well. The water well is a great idea but do remember to pierce a hole as instructed for draining or the plant could get water logged. And, make sure you drain it before Winter or the water will freeze the plant (yes, I did that with one of my cedars).

This is the third Mayne product I have purchased. I love my window boxes and purchased this planter for year round seasonal planting under a porch. Well made products! I recommend it!

I'm pleased we made the decision to buy 2 of these planters! They are stately in size and appearance. We'll be using ours as gardening containers this spring/summer. The self-watering reservoirs are ample and will suit our needs well. We were able to fill each with 4 cubit feet of soil (two 1.5 cuft bags). It's double walled and not too heavy when empty. The color white is great for keeping the soil from overheating in the sunny, hot and lengthy days of summer. While the exterior is slightly textured and picks up the dust/dirt, it sprays off and can be easily wiped down with a miracle sponge. Everything about this product seems substantial and well made. Looking forward to getting our gardening underway.

The planter is beautiful and works as promised. The main issue is that you have to drill the fill hole yourself and they recommend a 3/4" hole, which is way bigger than any drill bit I already owned. I had to drill a couple smaller holes and file it to the right size. I wish the hole were a bit bigger to make filling easier, but then it wouldn't fit the included plug. Also, I wish the plug were the same color as the box (plug is black, which stands out on the white box). Other than that, it's a fantastic planter. It's keep the soul nice and moist without being too wet or soggy.

Excellent quality, very elegant. It’s deep, heavy and will not blow over. Plan on buying more. I’m planting bamboo in it for a privacy screen. With this planter bamboo won’t grow out of control. (Drainage system is confusing for me.)

Just got this so no idea of longevity. Filled it with soil, water and plants. Looks great.

My mom had these in British Columbia and highly recommended them. I now have them in Ontario and they have weathered so well I ended up purchasing three more

I returned the two items and it shows they are delivered on May 12. I have not received refund on any of those yet. Both items were in original condition, never used. Just the size and color did not work with the purpose intended.
