why do you charge $50 shipping for an 8oz. or 10oz. bag of organic frozen fruit?

Thank you for the inquiry. The shipping charge is a Flat Rate, so you can add as much product to the order as you wish and the shipping charge stays the same. We have to ship these perishable items 2 Day Air ($34.00 minimum charge from UPS for our smallest cooler) and we have over $15.00 in shipping materials (cooler, cooler bag, cooler box and dry ice), so we are at $49.00 before we even add the product cost. Small orders do not work well for perishable goods for this reason and we really discourage small orders, since the only ones making money is Amazon and UPS. Larger orders decrease the shipping cost per item so we can all come out in a better position. I hope this helps, we are required to make sure all perishable items come to you in a safe manner.
