Is it stainless on the inside also?

Yes, the model I have is stainless steal on in the inside. The outside is the hard rubber you see on the handle in the about picture.

With other mugs I have owned depending what position you start the lid you can make it for a lefty or righty. Is that true with this mug?

True. You can control the turns and make it adjust to right or left hand. Great mug.
