Problem solved....Wait... One problem. The wheels are too wide for the axle. The wheels hit the frame and one of the lights! DOH!!! Well, scratch that idea....I also can't put these on the new to me 5x8 either because they are too short and the trailer sits low anyway. So, what did I do? I got a set of these 1" spacers with the correct center bore and installed these on the flip top axle as originally planned. Wheels fit now! It's kind of hilarious that these beefy tires are on a tiny 3x5 trailer, but it pulls great and I didn't waste my almost new tires. $40 versus throwing away two perfectly good tires.
