Not sure what others expected from this item, but it's exactly as described and does what is should. Take it out of the box, plug it in, putt balls into it and it returns them to you - simple. Yes it is not battery operated, but who would want one operated by batteries anyway? It has a standard cord, which is more than long enough, so no power brick. It has an adjustable return force knob which works fine. Not super accurate but not a big deal. Just like the ones I remember made years ago that every executive had in his office at work. I can't see what more you'd want for $16. Works great.

After reading reviews on many battery operated ball returns, I chose this plug in model because reviews of the battery models complained that balls were not returned very far (4 feet). This one can go about 15 feet on carpet at full setting, and is adjustable if you want the return to go less distance. My only complaint is that the return is all black, and from a distance it is hard to distinguish the target opening from the ball return opening. I fixed this by placing some yellow tape on the edges of the target opening to make it stand out. The ball is returned at the desired strength about 80% of the time. If the ball is still bouncing around when the plunger activates, the ball may only travel a few feet. I am OK with that. I didn't expect perfection, especially at such a low price. The whole family enjoys it. There is no on-off button, but I leave it plugged in all the time with a putter and ball nearby. I pick up the putter whenever I walk by and try a few for practice. There is an indent on the top that stores a ball, very handy.

For the price, it's exceptional value, and reminds me of playing with these as a kid. And it's not said "they don't make them like they used to," because of nostalgia, it's said because the quality often was straight-forward and you got what you paid for. Today, too often, we end up jipped... I bought this for my son at Christmas, not knowing if he'd have much interest and use it. I wasn't going to shell out for a model that was double or triple the cost to have it go unused and eventually break. Turns out I didn't need to, as this has been excellent. It was easy to set up, plugged right in and went to work. The retrieval system works well and is consistent, as well as has a power adjstment wheel so you can have your ball shot back to you at whatever distance you want at that time. The wheel to adjust is right on top and easy to change at will. It's held up well and puts up with the abuse a 6-year-old boy puts it through. Really, these sell for triple and sometimes more what this model cost. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. This is all you need....

I bought this as a gift for my brother who spends most of his time indoors due to disability. He has thoroughly enjoyed this. He doesn’t have to walk much to retrieve the golfball. Great price point. Arrived quickly.

A co-worker brought a putter and a few balls into the office a few months ago and people would wander by his office throughout the day and putt a few balls into a coffee mug... the ping off of the mug and the constant running back and forth behind my desk was getting annoying, so I picked this up.... It's a larger target to aim at, so missed shots don't bang off the wall as frequently, and when they make the shot it auto returns the ball...which means fewer back-and-forth trips behind my desk.... Everyone has been thanking me and have all told me how awesome this device is.... I'll take the praise and complements, but I'm happier to be less annoyed by all of the want-to-be office golfers around here.

Returned to have it replaced with another. Both had same, ball dispensing malfunction and the second one smelled burned. I hope someone else out there doesn’t have this issue.

This putt return is more reliable than any battery operated that I’ve tried. I highly recommend this product for indoor practice putting.

When it worked it worked excellent! Simply adjust power setting higher for longer puts. Very consistent also. Mine burned up in a week though. Started smoking and was shot after that. For the price it was it is not even worth the issue of trying to rmaf it. Still I was messing with the launcher and it auto launched like 10 times in 2 seconds that is when it broke. Not very impressive that I broke over that I put my hand in front of the ball and bounced it back to the launcher trying to set the launch speed and it burned it up like nothing. It was not broken under normal use but I still think it was poorly made to burn up over that. Still I would not hesitate to try another and see how it worked. There is not a lot of good options for this type of product so for the price it is decent. It is a extremely old model my grandpa had one like 20 years ago just like it.

One of the best tools you can get to improve your game. Works exactly as it should.

Great putting tool for the basement.

Works as expected but the machine is so light that it moves and turns from the force of the ball being shot out. I’ve had to lay some heavy books on top to keep it shooting back to me in the same direction.

I wanted a putting machine that was wired and this one works well. You can adjust the power of the ball return and it is fairly consistent.
