This thing is louder than a bottle of shampoo falling in the shower. It's louder than forgetting to stop the microwave at 0:01 at 2am when everyone's asleep. It's louder than your dad sneezing in the living room. It's louder than a floor jack rolling on concrete. It's louder than a couple of Karens complaining about the food at your local Denny's. Take all these together, multiply by 10, that's how loud it is. But yes, it cools things down. Expect your room to get nice and cool. Do not expect to hear anything else while it's running, at all.

does this unit have auto reatart

No. It is either on or off. When on, the fan blows continually and the compressor kicks in when the room temp exceeds the temp that you set it at. When the room cools to the set temp, the compressor shuts off and then just the fan blows. Hope this helped! I love this unit..it has performed flawlessly for several years now.

I guess is 110V( we are in USA). 220 is beleive works in Europe. More details you can find on their website.

Can the cooled air coming out the front be directed to one side? I won't be able to turn the whole unit.
