I was a little dubious when ordering but I went ahead anyway. This product far exceeded my expectations!! I actually purchased for my daughter who is a total HP nerd, but it has given her children endless hours of fun! My grandson had a Hogwarts themed birthday party and this arrived just in time and was a major hit at said party! Thank you for such a fun product!!

Bought for my sister, but I checked it over briefly. Seems lovely, the box had a little tear but nothing tape couldn't fix. Material is thinner than you might expect but still good quality. If you're giving as a gift, make sure to check as the presentation may need some work.

Bought as a present for daughters friend. The whole family ended up using it and loved that it was something different rather than the same old craft box from a cheap retail store.

App is awful. Took far too long to install a 50mb app. Effects are ok when it does work but the app crashes a lot, even mid recording. Quite unreliable. Kid unhappy

My daughter loves the cloak. Having said that, you could put a Harry Potter logo on anything and she'd love it. I don't think it's particularly well made. It's not badly made, but the clasp is very weak and isn't going to last long. The cloak isn't the problem. In itself and as a costume plaything for children, it's just about okay. The let down is the phone based App. It's a very, very simple greenscreen app. It works by taking a photograph. As you record your video, the app overlays the video image over the top of the photograph. It removes anything green from the new video and in that 'hole' in the image where anything green used to be, you see through to the underlying photograph. The trouble is that greenscreen videos are actually a very difficult to do well. Bends, folds and creases in the green fabric appear to the camera as different shades of green or shadow. I've been making greenscreen videos for years and I know I have to iron my backdrop perfectly flat and light it correctly for it to work properly. Moving about in a green coloured cloth just can't get the same level of effect. It shows in the video the app takes. The person wearing the cloak can appear to 'vanish' but in place of the green cloak, you still see a far brighter version of the background picture. It also struggles round the edges of the image, especially the shoulders. The green of the cloak may appear to be far lighter or darker depending on your light source. So, the App seems to struggle to remove all of the cloak. As a toy or additional costume item for children, it's okay. Just don't expect anything spectacular from the App.

Total cool! Selbst ungebügelt lässt der grüne Stoff mich verschwinden. Den leichten Schimmer, den man stattdessen sieht, finde ich richtig gut, weil das im Film ja auch gern so angedeutet wird.

Nice feel, silky swishy and not at all static. Nicely floor length on me 165cm good fit for slim people. Haven't tried the app but the nephews one works fine.
