Deceptively Cute
Wonderful little alarm clock for a heavy sleeper like myself, and aesthetic to boot! It took me a second to figure out how to set the actual alarm, but past that, set up is pretty easy. The alarm is decently loud and too annoying to ignore (in a good way). Not overly bulky and difficult to place around the room, either! Definitely recommend.

A Pretty Little Loud Alarm Clock
What a nice little alarm clock! Exactly what I was looking for. It has a very loud ring that's great to wake me up in the morning. It's very aesthetically pleasing and a great addition to my bedroom. It's a good compact size and even has a backlight which I've found useful to check what time my alarm is set to when I wake up earlier than expected. Does exactly what it's supposed to do when it's supposed to do it. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful
Beautiful clock that is easy to set up and works as intended. It is loud too. To the reviewers who say you can’t set the time to the exact minute, you need to learn how to read a clock. It most definitely can be set to the minute. It’s a clock and an alarm and it works fine. It also has a light button. There are instructions on the back that are easy to miss. It reads that you must turn the clock hands in a certain direction only or you will make the clock lose time. This means that if you go past the time you wanted to set it at, keep turning it in the same direction to get back to that time again.

Best purchase of this decade. Get one. Now.
Several years later, and I no longer own this alarm clock. I'm going to have to dock a star for quality. After replacing two of these, I ended up just using my phone as an alarm for long enough that I never bothered to replace this alarm. I still haven't found a good alarm. The small annoyances I mentioned ended up bothering me enough that I started looking for another alarm, and never found anything much better. The most annoying quality is how the feet of the alarm clock end up not being stable enough to keep it from tipping over, which always ends up knocking it over when you pick it up twice daily to set the alarm and disable the alarm. Which breaks the cheap internal gears after enough time. The second alarm didn't even last a year. Either that, or the few times I adjust the alarm timer is enough to break the gears. Either way, the durability just isn't there. I'm okay with cheap products with major flaws, but once you have to replace it every year, it stops becoming cheap. Plus, having to remember to turn on my alarm is a major problem when I'm tempted to sleep in on the weekends. Sleep hygiene only works when you do it consistently, and the temptation to just not set your alarm is far too great for me to use this alarm clock anymore. Original review left unedited below. If I was going to write a proper review for this clock, it would read like a long list of large and small complaints, followed by a glowing reccomendation that everyone on the planet needs on of these. The long version is, this is the first alarm clock I've used in a decade that is loud enough to wake me up consistently, without being so obnoxious that I wake up in a bad mood. For the first time in over 2 years, I've started waking up at the same time every day before my alarm. I cannot possibly overstate how important and benificial this has been on my mood, my productivity, and my physical health. This may be the most benificial purchase I've made in the last decade. Seriously. Personal benifits aside, this alarm clock is quite pretty, and the alarm is a nice mix of ear splittingly loud with a pleasant authentic real ringing that doesn't have the same bad feeling as other electronic clocks. Overall: pretty good. Now, for the "negatives". The alarm clock only has a 12 hour mode, which means you have to turn it off in the morning and back on before you go to bed. It's tedious. The alarm is only accurate up to 5 minutes, which means you can't wake up at a specific time, and adjusting the alarm involves a unhealthy amount of turning one of the two small gears on the back. I call those things "negatives", because each one subtly forces you into a better sleep routine. The difficulty of changing the alarm incentivises you to wake up at the same time, which is one of the most impactful and benificial things for your personal and mental health. Having to turn on and off the alarm every day has made me more consistent in my before and after bed routine, which has improved my sleep hygene (it's a thing, look it up). And the innacuracy of the alarm has made me get up earlier, which helps me have more relaxed mornings. It's like the designers knew how to break all my bad sleep habits by designing the most limiting product ever. I love this thing. Everyone needs one.

Simple, Low Tech Alarm Clock with LOUD and Effective Results!!
This clock is great for heavy sleepers. If you have trouble waking up to a regular alarm sound, this one will definitely do the trick! It has me jumping out of bed in the morning! The ticking sound is very quiet (you have to press your ear up to the clock to hear it and even then it is quiet), and it is easy to read the analog numbers from a distance. There is a little light button on it that you can press so you can see the time at night. Overall, this is a simple, low tech, high quality option with great results for those of us who just tend to sleep a little deeper than most!

NAZGUL FELLBEAST TO FIRE ALARM WITH TAPE
If this doesn't wake you up, you should probably see a doctor because something is seriously wrong with you. It's painfully loud and sends me in a terrified panic, sheets flying, stumbling as quickly as I can to shut the thing off. In fact, I put duct tape on the inside and outside of the bells where the hammer strikes to take the shrill edge off the obnoxious sound and it still freaks me out every morning. Now it's more like a pleasant fire alarm. I used to keep it down the hall from my bedroom in an attempt to trick myself into more bodily movement before turning it off, hoping that'd make me alert enough to not slink back to my beloved, warm sheets. It worked, and yes, was still loud enough to wake me up, but it was too long an epic journey in the dark with a Nazgul Fellbeast screaming at me, it's shriek echoing off the tile in a horrific echo chamber (at 5:00 am, this doesn't feel like exaggeration). The clock itself looks classy in just about any setting (I have the black one). The one real danger this kind of alarm clock poses is that you MUST TURN IT ON EVERY NIGHT OR ELSE IT WON'T WORK. For example, my alarm is set for 5:00. That means that if the switch on the back is set to "on," it'll ring any time the clock hits 5:00 without recognizing a difference between am and pm. Thus, you can't just turn it off in the morning then back on again. You must leave the alarm turned off until 5:00 pm passes, then turn it on and you're set for the morning. In essence, some people will need set set a phone alarm to remember to set the clock alarm. Kind of silly. However, if you can make a habit out of turning on the alarm as part of your bedtime routine, this clock will be good to you. Well. . . No it won't--you'll hate it, but it'll help you overcome your snoozing habit. See my photos for my silly tape idea that makes the clock more bearable. Hopefully this review is helpful to you.

Not very loud
Clock arrived quickly and in good condition. Classic looking clock. Operates fine, just wish the alarm was a bit louder. And if you pick up the clock and stuff it under a pillow- the bells won’t ring at all.

Yes! It's actually loud!
Bought as gift for someone who sleeps through alarm, after abnoxious alarm, for hours. Successfully woke on first go, as well as confusing people outside. Pretty and has no snooze or excess functions (which was actually a goal in this case so he had to get out of bed and switch it off instead of accidentally turning things off/snoozing and returning to sleep). Finally can stop missing critical things :)
