These work really well and are much more convenient and easy to work with over traditional soldering and shrink wrap. I will say that I have noticed they do seem to have an unused shelf life. I've found that some of the unused sleeves, if I try to use them a year later, the solder won't melt. That's not a huge issue as I typically just buy up several prior to the season and they work well.

I bought these for some wiring projects in my SUV. I was a bit hesitant at first after reading some of the reviews on here, but once I got them I found they were very easy to use with my heat gun. The biggest key is to not use the highest heat setting, and you will see the tubing shrink down, and the solder will start to melt soon after. If you are seeing the tubing melting, you have your heat too high! I'm planning on using these to replace some of my other connections that aren't as stable. Highly recommend these!
