Blue Silicone Group Gasket For E61 / Gaggia Coffee Machines Grouphead/Portafilter - 8.5mm

This gasket fit perfectly on my Lelit Mara X. The new gasket is soft, flexible, and feels durable. In a side by side comparison it is identical in size and markings as the one I pulled off. Install was easy and price wise it’s a fair price. If you’ve be never changed your gasket this is a great replacement. My old one was brittle and cracked as shown in my pics.

Having used my faithful Gaggia Classic daily for the past 4 years now, the original gasket started to harden. As a result, I noticed it was harder to get a watertight seal around the portafilter thus it started leaking. Knowing exactly what needed to be replaced, I found this silicone gasket on Amazon and now the machine runs like NEW again! Perfect. You'll need to empty the water tank, remove a few screws, and pull off the old rubber gasket. The entire process takes about 20 minutes. YouTube has videos on how to do it. The new silicone gasket should actually last longer than the OEM one in my opinion. An $8 repair that makes my machine run like new again? Worth every penny!

Taking the old one out was a chore because parts get stuck (watch a video on how to do it) but once disassembled it's a drop in replacement, softer rubber than original so feels nice but might not last as long, which is fine, overall good replacement considering the fast shipping (need that coffee!!!)

Fit and operation of this new gasket is fine, and the removal of the old gasket was the hardest part of installation. This silicon gasket is softer than the OEM rubber gaskets, so do not expect as much resistance when clamping the filter basket holder. The gasket came with no installation instructions. I removed the old gasket by turning a small wood screw far enough into the gasket until I could use it as a handle.

Worst gasket I ever purchased for my Gaggia Classic. I have to turn my handle well past the 90 degree point for the portafilter to seal. The last gasket from 3 years ago makes a better seal!

My espresso maker is no longer leaking! It was a little difficult to get the old, hard gasket out, so I plan to replace the gasket more often to make replacement easier before the gasket gets difficult to remove. I have read that the silicone gaskets last longer than the Gaggia OEM gaskets, but I am not sure if that is true and how long I should expect this new gasket to last. My original gasket lasted 4.5 years but I only made 1-2 cups of espresso/day. I have read that we are supposed to replace the Gagga group gaskets yearly, but I put it off until my portafilter started leaking badly. Now, I have to figure out how to get my steam wand to stop leaking! It makes a little puddle of water when I am making espresso.

Bought it for my Bezerra Mitica (pro grade) and works better than the original. No signs of significant wear and tear after a couple years installed (besides the expected)

Just fitted this, straight swap for the original rubber version which was compressed and hard as nails,made coffee of course, machine pressured up and works a treat. No problems happy to recommend

Hallo zusammen. Ich habe diese Dichtung für meine Gaggia Classic Pro bestellt. 2023 Modell. Dachte es wäre ein Upgrade. Leider total unbrauchbar. Man setzt die Dichtung ein. Macht einen Espresso und zack bekommt man den Siebträger nicht mehr ganz eingesetzt. Spätestens nach dem 3ten mal geht nichts mehr. Fehlkauf. Und die Retour kostet über 6€.

It does exactly what it says. It's easy to clock the portafilter in, just enough resistance. No more leaks! I'd buy it again if needed.

Works in the Gaggia Classic Pro perfectly. Has made a massive difference in twisting the portafilter in and out.
