Spend a few bucks more and be happy.
First use the high pressure hose blew off the fitting. Checked with another device, pressure was well within proper range. Cheap Chinese junk! Spend a few bucks more and be happy.

Probably the best, safest and most underrated manifold gauge set for the DO-IT-YOURSELFER...
I've been involved with working auto air conditioners for nearly 50 years. When I came on this set on sale, I found it to be probably the best, safest and most underrated manifold gauge set, which is ideal for the do-it-yourselfer. Unlike a lot of sets, the on-off valves for the high and low pressure sides are user intuitive quarter turn lever action ball valves. They are clearly identifiable as either on or off to the user at a glance. Most all standard gauge sets require multiple turns of the gauge handle and there is no indicator except for checking the valve or the flow through the gauge to determine if the valve is open, closed or partway cracked. Only the blue gauge allows injecting refrigerant into the system. This prevents any likelihood that a high pressure side back feed into the refrigerant can which can cause it to vent or explode due to overpressure. The only precaution is that a pan of hot water may be needed to warm the refrigerant container to force the refrigerant into the system. This should, however, be don't with the can upright and NOT inverted. Inverted, the can would feed liquid refrigerant into the compressor which may likely damage it. LIQUID is NOT compressible. For a few dollars more than the pistol grip trigger air conditioner charging set, every serious do-it-yourselfer should consider buying that set. As a professional, I own and use two of the sets. One is reserved for ND-11 oil used in hybrid electrical systems.
