The lancets are teeny tiny, and you can dial the “strength” of the puncture - I only use a 1 (it goes up to 5, for thicker, tougher skin I guess) and I barely feel it. You just drop the blood onto the test strip the the rest of the work is done for you. Highly recommend! This specific monitor does not measure glucose, though, so keep that in mind. Some keto dieters like to measure both, but I am not overly concerned with it. Review: learning curve but great - I wasted about 5 strips before I figured out how to do it with the proper amount of blood and holding still for 8 seconds while it reads and making sure I don't touch the absorption end of the strip.
