its perfect on the counter, and yes you can just put bananas on it. Does not tip over. Only complaint and its a small one, is the opening on the base is kinda large for smaller fruits, like grapes, strawberries, even smaller limes kinda get caught up in the holes. But I usually keep larger citrus fruits anyways (being I live in southwest Fl. ) So its fine, but if they came up with the smaller hole design I would consider replacing this one.

The fruit holder looks great, the only reason I didn't give the product 5 stars is that the picture is a bit misleading. The bananas in the picture must be miniature, because when I try to hang bananas from mine, it covers up the rest of the fruit and hangs too low.Not sure if the banana holder was bent in the mail or if my bananas just weigh more than average, but serious bending occurs and makes it difficult to get to the fruit.

I bought this along with the chrome pyramid countertop fruit rack to offer a healthy alternative for employees. The pyramid fruit rack works great for the rounded fruits like apples, oranges, and pears. But I needed something else for bananas and other fruits that didn't fit well in the pyramid. Between the two pieces, our office now has a nice variety of healthy snacks, and there is much less interest in the candy dish!

I like how this looks on my kitchen island. It's pretty big, and it holds a lot of fruit. I have no concerns about it. When we received ours, the vertical wire was bent considerably, and we couldn't bend it back. The company graciously shipped a second one at no charge. The vertical wire was still bent a little, but we were able to correct it.

Received this Fruit basket in a big carton. Was very well packaged. The product is sturdy and looks great on my dinner table. Highly recommended. It is worth an investment as it looks like it will last long. However, the seller can work on the price point. Taking a star out for just the price.

This fruit basket is great - I do wish it was a tad larger, but for the average person it will hold all the fruit needed. I myself could use a couple of tiers, but I'm still keeping it.

I absolutely love this fruit basket! It's incredibly sturdy and just by looking at it, you can tell it's sturdy. The lower portion holds a great deal of fruit (I would say the photo doesn't even do it justice, yet it's still a reasonable size for your counter or table. It is chrome, and looks especially good with my chrome fixtures in the kitchen. Also, the package arrived a day early, which is also a pleasant surprise.

From all the reviews I read about all of the others for sale I picked this one and I am glad I did. It won't tip over if it only has bananas hanging on it and it holds a lot of fruit in the bowl. We really like it. And very nice to look at.
