So I got these for the obvious reason of extending my pant waist just a little bit. It obviously did that as described but it weakened the pants. The first time that I sat down in them a large hole tore over my butt. So while being cheap and spending $5 on these I actually lost a $60 pair of pants. Just buy pants that fit, this is a terrible product!Edit: after emailing support with the company that makes this product I can tell you that I will for sure never be supporting them again.

These extenders have a flexible loop which makes them easy to attach to the original button on your pants. Some reviewers have stated that these are made of "hard" plastic, the items I received have a hard plastic button attached to a flexible loop. They work very well for me. If you need more than an inch; perhaps larger pants are in order...

It's funny... I bought these for a friend and thought that they looked cool (and was wondering why maternity clothing solutions are made available to the general public after the holidays and we gain a few pounds). And I should've read the reviews more carefully because they are just plastic, they aren't elastic at all! Elastic probably would've helped/made them be more useful. The packaging is underwhelming too (though what was I to expect). Overall, my friend liked them, but didn't get much use out of them (probably bought them late into her pregnancy). I have one on reserve for Thanksgiving this year!

These extenders are made of a flexible plastic (kind of rubbery feeling) so larger buttons can get through the loop. I had a hard plastic extender that was inflexible and too small for jeans buttons, but this extender can be maneuvered easily over a large button.

After losing 30lbs, I can drop down a pant size or two. Since not all pants fit the same, these extenders allowed me to drop down and still have all new pants fit.

Just what I expected. These are a tad bigger than ones I already have, which were purchased at a store about 10 years ago. These fit a bit looser on the button, so I just need to be aware of that. Otherwise, they allow me to button my jeans with ease (until I lose some belly fat!)..

Husband is stroke survivor and only has use of one hand. These make Levis easy to fasten.

really does work if you wear a belt you will not notice great idea these do work!
