Haven't used heat on it, Don't want to change it in any way. Haven't washed it yet so can't comment on that. I will probably just use soap nut liquid to wash it. I like that it isn't too big or too small. It looks realistic in size if you have at least shoulder length hair. If not, it would still look good but people might know it's fake. Doesn't look like fake hair, nice texture, finer than some. I love the color, more of a chocolate/copper/medium brown/red that dancing with the stars makes. It is amazing for the $. Doesn't frizz, hasn't needed combed or even finger combed, stays curly, cute, not too shiny but just looks like healthy hair. Definitely red undertones for those who henna their brown hair or those with auburn or chestnut hair. Really isn't a true dark brown in the classic sense.
