The hardware was easy to install. The actual awning "strips" were a little more tedious to insert into the hardware but that is a job that is once and done. I would recommend for awnings that are longer in length like the ones we purchased that two people work on this project together. We had smaller awnings for our other windows to install which came with our house when we bought it and my husband was able to put those up himself. My only improvement would be to offer more color choices in the larger sizes. The color I purchased was not my first choice but still it looks good with the neutral siding on my house.
