2100 GPH Submersible Water Pump with 33 FT Cord and Adapters for Ponds, Fountains, Waterfalls, and Water Circulation, 192 Watts 20 FT Lift Quiet Operation Vertical/Horizontal

I’m really happy with this pump. This is year three of 24/7/365 use in a very heavily planted 3000 gallon pond with no skimmer. I have 12 large golds fish and 20-30 minnows. Although the pond is 3000 gallons, I’m only running the 2100 GPH. My goals was to get lots of slow moving water running down the rocks - mostly for aesthetics and some aeration- rather than heavy duty filtration. The pump outtake valve is maxed for 1.5” but I used an adapter to attach a 2” inch hose and haven’t had problems. Again, my desire was to increase flow and decrease pressure and this thing is a workhorse so a larger hose was needed. To create biofiltration, the water passes through an 18” x 22” sump pump basin filled with lava rock just behind the waterfall. The total hose length is about 12-14’ and the total water rise is about 4’. For a mechanical filter box to protect the pump I purchased a pond safe plastic tote about 16”x 10”x 12”. I drilled 10-15 holes (about 1/2”) on three sides, a 2” hole in the lid for the hose and a 3/4” whole in the lid for the power cord. After I placed the pump inside I lined the box with filter material so that the pump was well surrounded (including the top and around the hosing). This seems to work great and I just clean it out once in the spring. Overall I’m super happy with this pump. It’s an incredible value given given it’s durability so far. I’m purchasing a second one now to have as a back-up in case they raise the price (paid about $95) or discontinue it.

I hv two of these Alpine pumps n they’ve bn running since arriving which speaks highly for their quality n lifespan. One in a tiny pond n the other in my sunroom in a 350 gallon holding tank. They’re not variable speed which would hv bn a big plus but so far I hvnt had the need to dial the flow rate down. It’s just a simple configuration of in the pond then tubed to a biofilter tub of lava rocks w/plants n waterfall back into the pond. In the holding tank It’s in a tall skimmer PVC connected to a 50 gallon rain barrel above filled with lava rocks n returns. Haven’t had any issues so far. Even when the hose to my bio fall kinked it still had pressure to push thru it. It never burnt out which is amazing to me. I cut the kink out n sleeved it w/a bamboo tube so it won’t kink again. With a root filled bio fall this year, the water flow is at what I consider comfortable, but still strong, flowing rate of where I want it to be. Come summer, I’ll be digging the pond deeper n may redo my bio fall filter. Most likely using the same Alpine pump!

Very nice designed to add a waterfall. Water flow is good, very quiet, very little vibration. Lasted 2 years, started having issues, contacted Alpine, it was still under warranty, I paid shipping costs and they shipped a replacement pump out.

We added a second and third pond over the hill from our original 1996 main pond, connecting them with a stream bed. We needed a pump that would be able to pump 25' length and at a 4' elevation. This pump did the job well, providing the perfect amount of flow to the stream. We decided to buy a second pump for a new main pond K1 media filtration system. My calculations for the water volume should have been correct between filter unit 1 and 2 using 1" input and 1-1/2" pvc output. However, the water volume supplied by the pump quickly overwhelmed unit 1 with spillover. I actually had to design a two-way splitter with 1" valves. 50% of the pond water flows through filtration and 50% gets sent directly back into the pond. No fault of the pump necessarily as my flow rate calculations may have been off. I like the way this pump is designed. Its top output port works well for our deep main pond. I am going to add a 90° silicone elbow to the original pump to help conceal the hose better. The pond is a bit too shallow to conceal the hose coming straight up.

Bought to replace a 10 year old pump that was still working, but the cord was splitting. From the start, it felt on the cheap side. Despite both pumps being 2100gph, the old pump was clearly pumping more water. Not the worst problem, but a noticeable one, to say the least. I could look past the slight lack of power in comparison, but in addition to that, the front plastic filter piece that covers the impeller was only loosely held onto the pump and would fall off if the hose was bumped hard enough. That was a solveable enough issue, but it wasn't the worst issue. Within the first few months I had noticed the water wasn't flowing like normal, so I unplugged the pump thinking debris had been blocking the filter, but it was clear. So I checked the impeller to make sure there was nothing in it and it was also clear. So I checked the filter and it was also clear. Cable checked out fine, so I put it back in the pond and plugged it in. It must have been on the cusp of failure, because as soon as I plugged it back in, it made an audible sound through the water. So I yanked it back out and noticed the impeller was just completely broken

I purchased this pump for my koi pond 8 years ago after the previous one had died in just a couple years. 3 years ago I stopped doing a full yearly drain and clean, just back flushed the filter every couple months. This spring the water flow was considerably slower so I expected this inexpensive pump to be worn out. Turns out once I cleaned the intake pre-screen (milk crate in a laundry bag) flow came back to normal. Good pump to still be going after 8 years of continuous operation.

Very reliable! Ordered this 6 years ago, its been running nonstop 24/7. Finally stopped working, I bought the same model.

The Alpine line is great, inexpensive and have really good power. *One caveat is that the front housing is a bit weak. They tend to crack along the seams if there is too much pressure (too small of output hose on top) I've had several fail over the past few years when using them in non-submersed mode. The best part about it is the support I've received from Alpine. Each time they've sent me new units, no questions asked. I'd totally recommend them, with the knowledge that they stand behind the product.

Seems to be a good pump, but all the pumps I've had in the past from various manufacturers have been decent. But they only last a few years. So we will see what happens with this one.

I’ve had this pump running 24/7 for 2 months now and I’ve had absolutely no issues what so ever. No clogging, flow of water is steady and does not change. My pump is installed insode a pond box which helps stop large debris from depositing inside the filter chamber which is key to a low maintenance pond in my opinion! The pump is hooked up to a 5 foot hose running about 4 feet in height from the water fall box to the pump box! All in all this pump is well worth the money! Great product

I really like the cadge on the front. I hated finding dead toads stuck to the pump unable to pull away from the strong suction also keeps plants and garbage from plugging up the pump and burning out the motor This is the third pump I've bought this summer the other two were a different brand both had the motors burn out I'm really hoping the cadge will make the difference.

I previously had one of these pumps. It lasted 2 years, which isn't bad. I ordered a replacement when it quit working, on Thursday, August 14th. The replacement arrived and was installed the following Monday, great service from Amazon. It quit working on Wednesday. I contacted the vendor, Alpine, and spent the next 9 days going through form-letter emails from what purportedly was a customer service representative, but seemed more like an AI bot. Finally, after jumping through all the hoops requested by their "customer service", I was informed to return it to Amazon, which I could have done on day one if properly informed. This was a huge waste of my time and terrible customer service.
