The reviews didn’t lie. I bought Seibon Carbon license plate frames 5 years ago. Didn’t know all I had to do is touch them up with sandpaper and clear coat once they showed wear and I was going to buy Seibons again but I wanted to save money. Found these instead and they are real quality carbon fiber plate frames with a shiny finish. I highly recommend this for your car if this is your style. Don’t hesitate to get a pair or replacements. Even as a gift to your car enthusiasts friends, colleagues or relatives. If they added plate hooks on the bottom of the backside it would be great.

Shipping took a while and The text could be a little brighter But honestly If that is your biggest complaint about buying a genuine handmade carbon fiber item such as this, you're doing okay. Real carbon fiber text is very sharp and distinct. The carbon fiber weave matches the carbon fiber weave Ang my spoiler lip diffuser and mirrors. Really pops in the sunlight. 10/10 would absolutely order again.

It's real carbon fiber, so it's light, which is what CF is supposed to be. It's not a metal or plastic frame wrapped in CF (at least as far as I can tell). It appears to be a completely CF frame, as indicated. The outside finish (the part you see) on the carbon fiber is good quality (no bubbles in the epoxy, good weave and color on the CF) and has a high gloss finish. It has rounded edges and a rounded face. It looks a little "bubbly". The bottom of the frame has 2 foam squares with double sided tape already applied so you can secure the bottom of the frame to the license plate. There is no bottom clip. The top has holes pre-drilled for the screws that hold the plate to the car. There are only the 2 top holes, so make sure you don't have side mounting plate mounts (e.g. rear plate mount on a JK jeep Wrangler) as this won't work. Most cars have the 2 top screws, but double check yours to be sure. I put this on my 2015 GTR (rear) and the CF weave matches nicely with the diffuser, it doesn't match the CF on the wing though since the wing has a matte finish (a.k.a. dry weave), but that's not a problem since the rear license plate is mounted very closely to the lower diffuser which has the glossier finish. Packaging was good (double bagged and put inside a shipping box) so it arrived undamaged. Remember, carbon fiber is strong but brittle! Don't bend it to make it fit.

I had to laugh when the dealership Showed a plain Carbon Fiber license plate frame as an "option" for $130! However, After seeing that, it made me wonder how good a frame for just over $20 could look. The answer: It looks GREAT! It looked to me like they put real carbon fiber material over a plain black plastic frame as a base. The important thing is that it looks really god, and it makes a big difference to have real fiber instead of a sticker that looks like carbon fiber with some clear coat over it. I'll admit that I thought that might be what would show up, but I was happy to see a very nice looking, real carbon fiber frame. Get some good plate mounting screws and some black caps to cover them, and you'll have a great looking setup

Very nice outside appearance with a deep glossy clearcoat, but somewhat thin construction. I don't think it will be a problem, but I would have liked it to be a little thicker construction just to be on the safe side. The addition of foam tape on the inside was a nice touch to help make sure that it doesn't rattle on the plate. I added an extra piece of stick-on foam tape to the back side of the plate to make sure that the carbon edge does not rub on my paint. Overall, I think this frame is very nicely made for the price. Recommended.
