Happy with the screen
This bug screen/curtain seems to be well made and the stitching on the hemmed edges is nicely done. The magnetic closures are strong and snap back into place if the bottom hem doesn't drag on the door jam too much. Our french doors are a little shorter than the length of the screen, so we rolled the top before applying the enclosed Velcro strips. There are a couple of flaws. Firstly, there aren't enough Velcro strips included to make a tight fit to the door opening. We remedied that by buying more at a craft store. Secondly, the Velcro strips do not hold the curtains weight for many uses. It fell away from the top of the door jam, so we fixed that issue by using three decorative upholstery tacks along the top. Problem solved. Thirdly, The black curtain is a little room darkening, but not bad. It is more noticeable than a standard screen door, however, it is more economical and can be removed more easily. The last issue I have with it is that when it's time to put the screen away the sticky Velcro will make it hard to store and will have to be removed and more purchased for next season. Other than those minor issues we are happy with our screen. It keeps the bugs out!

I bought a different screen originally that was really nice. Very strong long magnets
I bought a different screen originally that was really nice. Very strong long magnets. Unfortunately that one was too narrow so I gave it to my sister and ordered this one that was 2" wider. All screens are NOT created equal. Compared to the other door, these magnets were very cheap and did not stay fastened. When my dog goes through, they do not all close behind him. Also, the material was much cheaper. The other door had the velcro strips sewn into it and you adhered the opposing velcro to the door. It also had velcro that went all the way across the top so it wouldn't come down. This kit just gave you 12 x 3" strips of velcro and was not very sturdy. Additionally it came in a white box with nothing on it, not the packaging from the picture. Granted, this is just the box, but the minimalist packaging was a precursor to the quality of the materials inside.

Screen door fail
This screen was a little small for the front door entryway. I ended up finding one that is bigger. If you are measuring to see if this will fit your door, remember the measurements they post with this product is the actual size. You will need to add an inch more on each side of your opening to know the true size that you will need. After installing it, we realized it was about 2" too small - it fit perfect in the opening but couldn't attach to anything. While installing it, working with it we found it was a little too fragile as well. It didn't take much and we had put a hole in it before we completed the installation. I think it would be great for a smaller door, perhaps even a camper/camper trailer.

Falls Apart After a Few Weeks
Good idea to keep the flies out and convenient for a heavily used entry. I want to like it, but it just wasn't durable. It worked great for the first few weeks, then it started to fall apart. First to come off were the top magnets, then the bottom ones, until it doesn't close anymore. It is past the return policy period so I can't return it to Amazon. I'll have to try to repair the pieces that came off and hot glue gun the rest to reinforce. That might be hard though since I can't find a few of the magnets that fell off. The actually mesh is in good shape so they got that part of it right. It is cheap at least so it wasn't too big of a loss. I might buy another one, but I would hot glue gun the seams and magnets to make it last longer.

I finally figured it out and the velcro wasn't the best kind. I ended up buying another product instead
This product is awful. The screen doesn't close properly with the magnets. The screen actually came stitched together with no instructions so I had no idea which part needed to be cut to make it work..I finally figured it out and the velcro wasn't the best kind. I ended up buying another product instead..If you still want bugs in your house and flys galore then go ahead, pay a little more money like $5.00 and get one that is like an actually door....that's what I have now and that works much better...This one wasn't worth the money to ship back and get my money back....

Bugs Can't, Dogs Can
The screen is fairly easy to install, we folded it over to fit our slightly smaller opening. It looks pretty ugly but we knew what we were getting in to. As far as functionality, the dog can get in and out of it when she is not scared of it, and it stay attached pretty well as long as you don't push the magnet strips apart and away from the frame that it is attached to, otherwise the Velcro can come unattached at the top.It is keeping the fly's out and has worked well so far for training the dog not to scratch it before we get something that looks nicer.

Decent product.
I like the concept behind this item. It's real easy to out up, very inexpensive and works pretty well. What I don't like is that you have to hang it very precisely or you'll get gaps when it closes. I've hung mine so that it closes well, but it doesn't fall shut like I expect it to. I always find myself fiddling with the magnets to get it to close. That can get very annoying if you're going through the screen a lot. Maybe I need to fiddle with it and see if I can hang it slightly differently and get the screens will fall into place like they're supposed to.

Skip it, get the real deal.
There are few items I will give one star, but I have to give this item it. I was first introduced to these screens at a friends cabin and, at least in my case, have seen better quality ones. I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to these style screens. The edge where the mesh comes together is made of an almost paper like material, and the Velcro strips that is sent with them are a joke. I would send it back but I drilled screws into it and the wind just rip the screen out of it. Just spend a little more and get the real deal.
