This bender is great, saved me hours building my cistern and will save me many more hours building my house. The price of a decent manual bender was around $480. The cost of this electric hydraulic was around $630, with another $30 shipping to my island. I could not have built as efficiently without this tool. No need to pull the rebar out of the pit to bend it or use a mounting board and leverage. No need to guess at the angles or distances for the bender. Measure and mark the bar, plus or minus half the bar width on placement in the head for exact bends and pull the trigger. It's that easy and it had zero trouble with the hundreds of #5 bar bends.When I opened the package I was a bit disappointed by the cracked plastic on the trigger grip. The bender was packed in a few different boxes but still sustained damage during shipment. I'm in hurricane season in the US virgin islands and didn't need the delays of sending the unit back for replacement. Huanyu Instrument was great through the entire process. I explained that the unit was operational and I was willing to change out the handle if they'd send me the part. The agreed and worked with me on the difficult shipping issues to the islands. I taped up the broken edges so I was able to use the bender on my construction and within a few weeks I had the replacement handle.I'm not a concrete expert or a big dude and quickly found out that this thing is heavy. It's built that way because it has the durability and power to bend 5/8" rebar with ease . Work smarter, not harder. I discovered that it's easier to set it on a small board, place the rebar in the grove and allow the bender to pivot on the board with the rebar as it bends. Quick, easy and efficient tool.

Solidly made, works very well! I've bent #3, #4 and #5 rebar with it, no problems. Also, very well packaged (additionally wrapped in plastic against the weather) and arrived on time!

So I've paid $400 plus for manual benders that didn't last a year. After using this thing the first time I felt like a fool for not buying one sooner. We went through well over 100 #5's at the push of a button on the first job, and this thing didn't skip a beat. I've only owned it a short time now, but If it lasts a year, it will have easily paid for itself ten fold. I'll never buy another back breaking bender again.

So far I did two foundations . Bend around 800 rebars #4 . At no problem .

4 years later, as a private construction company, we still use this bender for in shop, pre fabricating cages and a ton of other bends that can be prefabricated to help speed things up on the jobsite. It still shows no signs of slowing down. Really solid built. 👌 A+
