It has a durable foundation layer as well as the lace. The headband matches the dress perfectly and isn’t heavy as to aggravate my little munchkin’s head. It was super cute. But when we tried putting it on out little one, it was quite difficult. The zipper opening in the back was not the best., it was not a long enough zipper. Due to that it was very very difficult to get over our little one. After much tugging and pulling we were able to get it on. It took us about 5 minutes to get on. We were planning on using it for a baptism, but we didn't want to be fussing with it up on the alter in front of everyone trying to get a dress on during the ceremony, so we opted not to use it and sent it back. Once we did get it on, it was cute, however it did bunch up in a weird way on the top part.
