Jamie Oliver by Tefal Premium Cast Iron Induction Oval Stewpot 30cm x 22cm

As I’m looking to replace my aluminium pots I thought I’d go for the tried and tested cast iron pots but I didn’t want the hassle of having to re-season them after every use. This pot here is the alternative - you have a cast iron pot with an off white enamel coating inside which makes caring for it a doddle (just hand wash and dry and store away). As it is cast iron, it is heavy but it cooks great tasting meals and works on my induction hob as well as oven. It doesn’t have a vent on the lid, but it has small spikes on the inside of the lid which collects and releases condensation back into the food which means your cooking stays tender and tastes better. It’s so good that I’ll be purchasing another. If you’re considering getting one and weight isn’t a problem/concern, then I’d say give this a go! Nice traditional pot, however unlike competitors is not washable in the dishwasher and very hard to keep clean. F in TeFal gone rusty after just a half dozen uses.

Tefal designed non-stick red-dot stuff to fail. I was offered 15% off my next purchase due to a failed 'non-stick' frying Pan (coating came off after 18 months despite a 10 year guarantee). Overpriced, under spec'ed.

I have only used this on the top of my over as it is so heavy I an unable to lift it out of the oven when full. I could hardly take the parcel off the delivery man as it was so heavy. Easy to use on the top of the cooker as I do not have to lift it but this is worth bearing in mind if you are older like me and find it harder to lift stuff. Needs to come with a strong man!!!!

Wir benutzen den Topf für Schmorbraten, Gulasch und ähnliche Gerichte. Egal ob auf dem Herd oder im Backofen, Zubereitung klappt super.

Noch nie so einen schlechten Kochtopf gehabt! Die Beschichtung ging sehr schnell ab, daher bleibt beim anbraten alles im dem Topf kleben und backt an. Der Topf ist sehr schlecht zu reinigen, wegen seiner Beschichtung!
