Good quality and it was a perfect fit. It looks like it will be easy to keep clean
Happy with this toilet seat, it was a perfect match and fitted the toilet well. The handyman fitted it within 5 minutes including removal of the old one. The soft closure works well and it's lovely and glossy, so will be easy to keep clean.

Quality product
Discovered my exiting toilet seat was cracked so needed a speedy replacement to avoid getting a nasty nip on the cheek! After recovering from shock at the cost of a replacement seat from the toilet manufacturer I found this one at a more reasonable price and was the right shape. New seat arrived the next day and was very well packed so arrived in pristine condition. As the previous seat was a top fitting design the whole replacement procedure was very straight forward and was completed in under 10 minutes. Although a square edged design rather than the curved edge of the previous seat it brings a more modern look to the toilet and looks a quality design. Soft close & quick release systems work well but only time will tell how robust the whole assembly is. Previous reviews mention difficulty with removing the seat & difficulty with latching to the fixing posts but I doubled checked the the centres between the fixings & the toilet seat matched and greased the top of the posts with a small amount of Silicone grease before assembly with the result the seat easily clicks into place and is very east to remove. Overall impressions are of a well made product that fits well, looks good and doesn’t cost an arm & a leg!

Nice quality, good value and reasonably easy DIY fit
I chose this D-shaped toilet seat after reading many positive reviews. It was delivered in appropriate packaging with a simple instruction leaflet which included diagrams. The process for installation is fairly universal on this style of toilet seat, and once you take off your old one you can easily see how the new one must be installed. I'm a single woman and I've never fitted one before and it was all fairly easy until I got to the part where you have to align your two spindles exactly right in order for the seat to fit the toilet exactly. It took a fair bit of trial and error, but that's because these are universal fittings – and according to the YouTube videos I watched, it's a standard design in the industry. The two plastic 'plugs' you push down into the two cistern holes (to hold the screws) seemed sturdy, although it took a lot of pushing to get them fully in, and I was nervous of breaking them. Once I got the seat positioned correctly and tightened up the screws it was easy to finish the job by putting on the circular screw covers. They are white plastic (where my originals were stainless steel), so they blend in well. The seat looks stylish and modern and is nice quality. The soft close feature works well. All in all, a good value toilet seat for the price.

Good quality
Not had it long but I am pleased with it so far. Its good quality, easy to fit, soft close works well, feels quite solid and sturdy. Yes, would buy again.

Ideal Standard replacement seat
Easy to fit, fits the toilet well, same size as the Ideal Standard original, thought not as heavyweight plastic as the original. Good price for the product quality, would buy again if needed, top fixing so you can use it on a Back To Wall pan.

Just ok.
It's ok, the shape isn't good so doesn't fit properly and it's a bit thin. Meh...

Simple to install
This was pretty similar to the toilet seat we had before in terms of size and quality - and the last one was in for 13 years. Possibly not the finest quality but for the price I would say it is excellent. Reviews on £100 toilet seats are no better. The toilet seat attachments on the previous toilet were maybe better with metal nuts sitting inside the rawl plug (and the seat didn’t move at all) but these ones have chunkier screws and they seem to tighten up well - I’ll revise the review if they loosen and cause the seat to move. The instructions are clear but I did note that one reviewer said the rawl plugs were too long and initially I thought the same but you have to push them in firmly so the “wings” give a little making a snug fit. You just need to make sure that the screw sits in the grey plastic cup in the same position both sides to get an even position because not only can you turn the cups, you have some leeway where the screw sits in the horizontal slot. Tighten them slightly then swivel the cups to line up with seat holes. The prongs can be positioned to the back or the front depending how long/short your toilet is. I was nervous about buying the seat because it would have irritated me if it stuck out or was too short but it worked perfectly. Now I’m hoping it doesn’t move or crack. 5 stars so far.

Cost effective and a good fit, but changes since the last version not welcome.
Bought this as a replacement for the same item as the soft close failed after 4 years use. Not too bad given the price compared to the OEM. There seems to have been some product development since I last purchased it, as it is not the same. The fit remains good and for me it was a direct swap so very easy to remove and replace the seat. The fixings to the ceramic were reasonably easy to install and align as far as I remember. It weights half as much as the last version which raises questions of durability, but I guess we'll see. The lower weight means that the soft close is very slow which for me is a negative, though in operation it is strangely mesmerising (see video). A major negative with the new version is the provision of plastic covers for the fixings. Why?? The originals are stainless steel and I've retained those with the new installation. The finish of the plastic is fine and seems to be of a reasonable quality. The white colour of the last seat became a little stained on the underside with blue toilet blocks, but you don't really see it so not a big issue. See my pictures for a comparison of the original and new items. Who knew so much could be written about a toilet seat? Despite the issues, the product is a good fit and a third to a quarter of the OEM price so recommended, with reservations.
