**Q: More information: is the back flat so it can be screwed to the wall with three screws and does the face open to access for battery replacement?**
A: It is flat on the back with a hole to mount it on the wall. Battery is also accessible from the back, (which is a box that actiually gas the hole in it) and can be easily replaced.

**Q: Is it a quiet clock?**
A: For its small size, this clock ticks a little loud. You can hear it when trying to sleep at night. That aside, this clock is a beauty.

**Q: Regarding the "porthole wall clock solid antique brass nautical ships 9 inch"  is it battery powered or plug-in to electrical outlet?**
A: It is battery powered but has been nothing but trouble since I bought it. Haven't had time to deal with it but I wouldn't recommend it.
