Definitely heavy duty, which is exactly what I was hoping for! I was looking for badge holders with sturdy clips since I rarely wear pants that require a belt, and these stick to my waistbands really well to the point where it's difficult to get them off lol. Haven't had a problem with the retraction either. I keep my car keys, my work keys, and my badge on it. No issues. Great product.

FOUR YEAR UPDATE! I bought the 2 pack of these. They are built extremely well. After 4 years the first one finally broke and I changed over to the 2nd one. The first thing to brake was the carabiner so I just used the belt clip. Then the plastic part that holds the ID badge broke and I just replaced it. No biggie. Otherwise the way the line is built very well. I would notice it start to thin out and ware out well before it would ever snap and just tie a knot in the line to prevent it from snapping. Finally I retired because the line was so short from doing this so much. If I wanted to, I could repair it and replace the line but I have a second so I did not. The metal case is very nice and the internals are all built well. Others I have bought just explode after 6-12 months. Or the line would snap and there would be no way to open it up and fix it. This is the next hip bade holder you can get.

Great quality badge holders! The metal build feels sturdy and durable, and the retractable cord is smooth and strong. They hold my ID securely and clip easily to my belt or pocket. Getting two in a pack is a great value. Definitely recommend if you need a reliable badge holder for work.

After adding a pair of folding scissors to my badge reel, my old badge reel wouldn’t stay retracted, so I bought this heavy duty badge reel. The reel is very sturdy and stays retracted, but not sure how the cable will hold up over time. The clip on the back slides easily onto my scrub shirt. Because it is so heavy duty, it is VERY heavy, but hasn’t been a problem so far. It does what I needed it to do.

It’s very very high quality though a bit heavy if you’re only needing something for ID. This holds tools, my glasses, magnifying glass. Excellent for more heavy duty or durable for long time use. Gifted were for each a durable badge clear case, matching jump rings and more! Honestly you don’t see great workmanship like this very often anymore. Definitely recommend 😊

Heavy duty. Exactly what I needed

I’ve used multiple key leashes for work which all break after a month. These have lasted three times as long so far and don’t even look frayed. These are all I buy now (for backup as I’m still on my first one)

Now, I'm writing this review just after opening the package and so I haven't tested the product while working just yet but I can already tell that it is hundreds of times better than the badge reel I had been using before. The last one was cheap and made of plastic with a metal clip at the top and lasted about 4 months before it broke beyond repair. This one is made entirely out of metal with a key ring and it includes two plastic sealable badge holders, a big plus if you notice your badge holder collecting lint, small animal hairs, and other bits of dirt over time. Two pack is nice but I don't think ill ever need to use the second one with how sturdy they feel. Especially since it includes a lifetime warranty (register within 30 days). Only potential downside is that it is quite heavier/bulkier than expected. But honestly for all the other positives, it is well worth the extra bulk! UPDATE 8 Months Later: I still love it!! Turns out that I did end up using the second pouch, but for an additional proxy card. I stopped using the clip/ring after a month. I just found it a bit extra and it was easier to just use the clip that is attached to it anyways. No signs of wear and tear! 10/10 would recommend and buy again (if I ever lost my current one). UPDATE TWO: It's been nearly 2 years and this is still going strong! Slight metal discoloration from getting scratched around the edges, under the finish is a copper colored metal. Still no complaints. FINAL UPDATE: This badge reel broke today. After more than 3.5 years of abuse. I am 100% re-ordering.
