An empowering message about the true meaning of prosperityโto help anyone achieve a life of spiritual and material abundance. Imagine if you could achieve a life of true prosperity, enjoying: - A vitally alive, healthy body through which you experience relationships that are always satisfying and intimate, honest, and nurturing - Work you love so much that it's not work, it's play - All the money you can spend Living at this exceptional level is not only possibleโit's right there for you, Edwene Gaines explains, if only you abide by the four spiritual laws of prosperity. Gaines, an ordained Unity minister, has been delivering her inspirational, life-changing message to audiences of all faiths at workshops across the country. Explaining the four spiritual laws, she shows why it is essential to: - Tithe to the person or place where you have received your spiritual nourishment - Set clear-cut, tangible goals - Forgive everyone all the time, especially yourself - Seek, discover, and follow your divine purpose, which will help you to assign significance to your life and bring a passion to all that you do The solution to financial problems lies within, Gaines insists, and here she shows you how to raise your abundance consciousness and free yourself from a life of deprivation and want. Review: Tried it for a year - The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity - First, I am not a religious person... so I had some struggles getting through the first chapter or so. However, once I was able to "change" some of the wording to adapt to my personal spiritual beliefs, I found the concepts and steps very meaningful. I began the book in Dec 2011 and by Dec 2012 I had amassed much more prosperity in my life. Not only did my financial prosperity improve greatly, I started to practice financial integrity in everything I did. There were many challenging steps, and this was a very difficult path. Because I couldn't grasp the concept of tithing, I changed that word to offering - so that if fit with my understanding. That may seem a small adjustment for many, but for me it was a hurdle I had to cross. THE MOST difficult part of this guidebook was giving 10% of my gross income to where I received my spiritual food. When I wrote that first check in Feb 2012, my hand was literally shaking as I wrote the amount and signed the checks. I had NEVER done anything like this in my life -- so this became an enormous / giant leap of belief and understanding of the book's concepts. After the first month, it gradually got mentally "easier" to write the checks, and by the six month mark, I looked forward to reflecting back on the month of all the places I had received good energy and "spiritual food." What changed...? At this stage -- now at 12 months -- I am much more at peace in my life. I have experienced abundance in ways that I could not have imagined. My relationships with family, friends, and in business have dramatically improved. Financially, my income increased 10% in Jan 2013, but before I could even get to the end of Jan, it increased another 26.6% that starts in Feb 2013 (as I write this). I don't know if this book will help you, but I followed most of the suggestions, completing a financial inventory, and putting emphasis on offerings. I also made sure I cleaned up all of my past "financial baggage" (which was revealed to me over the year). Is it working? YES! And I wholeheartedly endorse this book to all that are looking to increase their prosperity. It WAS NOT EASY, but it is working for me and I was able to make changes that have improved my life. Review: 4.5 stars - This has been an interesting book. I am one who believes you can learn something from any book, and this one was a good example for this rule. These 4 laws are something I was familiar with, but this writing puts them in a new light, with empowering stories to give them strength. Ultimately, to have any results is a matter of trust and practice, reading is just the beginning. I was super surprised to learn this was published first in 2005, it has a sort of a flavor from that period, but I loved the witt and the fun approach of the author. I only learned about this author and book recently from Denise Duffield Thomas' newsletter and I was surprised how the whole vibe of this book is more religious than spiritual. But this is, also, its greatest asset. Overall, this has been a read full of surprises, interesting and inspiring. Would I recommend it? Only if you read the table of contents and are ok with the themes and the (friendly, not dogmatic) religious vibe of it.

Helped through heartbreak.
Iโm 24 years young, and my childhood dog just passed away.. this trauma, this level of heartbreak.. ugh, my chest was tight for days. I would pull myself together, just to fall apart at the seams again. We were life partners, and best friends. I miss her so very dearly. This level of hurt and grief can either take you in one of two directions. You can spiral, or you can grow. The first three days after I put her down, I spiraled. I was working a s*x worker job that I wasnโt proud of, and living day by day dragging my feet. Once I lost my dog, I truly felt like I had no purpose. Hitting rock bottom, getting drunk and bawling on the floor every night praying for God to help me heal, I finally picked up this book. Iโm so glad I did. This book has taught me so profoundly that the grass is greener where you water it, bad things happen FOR you, not to you; and you will find your purpose in everything that you do with purpose. I started her 21 day no negativity challenge and started repeating affirmations/goals every morning. I will prepare myself for receiving His Kingdom. I feel so very blessed for God shutting so many doors in my face because he wants more for me. Thank you Edwene, for the reality check.

A thought-provoking book but her formula does not connect so well
I decided to read this book after hearing of 3 millionaires who recommended it to a penniless friend of theirs. My takeaways: โข Give 10% of your income to support materially whoever supports you spiritually โข If you want to earn $120,000 a year, give away $231 each week (i.e. ten percent of the target) to attract the higher income. โข Follow your vocation to earn money the right way โข Complaining repels money Her 4 laws, which she calls spiritual, are tithing, forgiving, aiming for goals, and honoring your vocation. But she doesn't connect them so well. Throughout the book she talks about being broke even after she was tithing and aiming for goals, which makes sense if she was donating to rich organizations. She also says that goal-setting catches the rewards that tithing brings. Really? How? She doesn't explain it. Irrelevant quotes are sprinkled throughout the book that are supposed to inspire but I only found them distracting. She tells some good stories though! This book didn't help me become prosperous so I continued to search, and eventually I discovered a real secret of money: inner peace. Inner peace attracts financial opportunity. Whenever I would meditate, someone would contact me for my services. Coincidence? Well, the source of money is God, and God is peace. There is even an English proverb about it: Peace makes plenty. Unfortunately, after years of travel, I shattered my capacity to experience peace, so I decided to knuckle down and find the REAL spiritual laws of prosperity, and eventually I found them: โข Attract money: On Saturdays meditate for at least 6 hours. I like to meditate by watching my thoughts. It makes the mind work. If you worked inwardly and didnโt attract any money, then connect with the right people and perhaps the right work so that Nature has vehicles through which to help you. If youโre still struggling, scrutinize your behavior to determine whether or not you are breaking the law or stealing in any way. โข Donate money: Give 10-50% of your gross income to your source of new ideas and inner strength. If you lack such a source, give it to bearers of Truth and Justice. If your would-be recipients have more than enough money, find intelligent, good people who happen to be poor, and finance them instead. Staying at hostels is how you find these people. After years of research I also came across the following statements that brought even greater clarity: โ โLove is never completely without resources, nor is it ever rich.โ โ Plato, Symposium: 203e โ โWhoever does not fulfill the Will of God will become both rich and poor, while the one who does, will be neither rich nor poor.โ โ Beinsa Douno, The Wellspring of Good: The Service to God โ Each Saturday, seek the light, the kingdom of your God and all things will be given to you. โ Jesus, The Essene Gospel Of Peace, Book Two โ โWe are not rich by what we get and hold; the only things we keep are those we give away.โ โ Jesus, Aquarian Gospel, VII 37:18 The 4 Pillars: Work spiritually (Sabbath, or give 10% of your time to God) Work materially (Talents) Give spiritually for what you received materially (Gratitude. Howard Wills has some formulaic prayers for gratitude and forgiveness and he offers them for free on his site.) Give materially for what you received spiritually (Tithing, or give 10% of your money to God)

AWESOME
I started tithing in March of 2016 ( it's now September 2016) and insane things( blessings) have happened! I got an early honorable separation from the Army ( with vacation time), had absolutely no problem finding a job, and even "received" a boyfriend ( we broke up shortly after, but he became a good friend) ! ... When searching for a job, I had a lot of job offers! Malachi 3:10 came true for me. I even got my friend a job because I had so many people contacting me, I started referring them to people I knew. My income has doubled, and it's about to increase more once I start using my GIBill ( we get housing pay also) and I suspect it will probably increase even more. I found a great new place that I love to live in at a great price ( way below what it should be). My car started acting up ( transmission), but thankfully it got repaired ( $5,000 worth of repairs) for free. I was literally 500 miles from the warranty being expired. In the mean time, when I couldn't really drive my car, someone that lived 5 mins from me magically worked at the same place as me, and we carpooled. I received the most comfortable bed that I've ever slept in also at an amazing price ( way below what it should of been). I was a little afraid once discharged from the Army what to do, but this book along with Emmet Fox and Catherine Ponder, helped me look to God as my source. I now look back and see God was there the entire time helping me out. I'm excited for this life long journey!

Fun and Fulfilling
This book is inspirational, motivational and dead on with it's very clear, concise action plan. Having read Catherine Ponder, Eric Butterworth, etc., I'd recommend this one above the others. In today's language and very down-to-earth style, Edwene walks you through what it takes to get out of poverty consciousness and into true abundance. And like attracts like-- as we become more positive, we attract more positive things, people, situations and rewards in our lives. It is the science of the self-fulfilling prophesy. You get what you expect... so how do you learn to expect something different? Edwene provides a clear plan on the "how" as well as the "why". Her approach is wonderful, and what's more, this is a fun read. You'll look forward to sitting down and sharing a cup of coffee with Edwene, and you'll get loads out of the conversation! Enjoy & May you go forth & Prosper!

Fun, gentle-yet-firm and spiritually motivation-packed book!
Edwene Gaines is an adorable human! I have watched her video on prosperity on Nancy Battye's site which is where I got to hear her name for the first time and I heard about the tithing concept for the first time in my life through her in that video. I then immediately bought this book and enjoyed every single line. She installs in you the belief that You deserve financial wealth and that is what God wants for You and God is Your Supply. She also gives very clear tools and techniques (not many homework and only very simple essential "stuff" we must do in life anyways and that is what we should learn at school growing up!) I keep using her story in many occasions in my own life, too, where she says "I have a Father [of course=GOD] who is very very very rich and will take care of me" to calm down her school principle worried for her upon her resignation from her salary-guaranteed teaching job at school in order to start her own business, who has only been a school teacher in her life until then... The principle then feels very content and calm and says "that is great then, go for it!" and never learns that she was taking the leap of faith in "God's supply" as she was doing that in a time when people were struggling massively in a bad economy period and she and her daughter were almost starving... Of course you can imagine, her business takes off -thanks to the Father- and she is where she is today! I particularly like her sense of humour, especially when she calls God "You BIG Fella!"... pointing her finger up in the air... Very pleasant, motivating and heart-filling book. Well-worth the read.
