I had originally gotten two of these irons in a different size as gifts from korea. I had them for a year trying to find a proper transformer that wouldnt smell, as an adapter simply wouldnt work. Eventually I decided to just buy one off amazon and I LOVE It! The it's made in Korea and is one of the top used curling irons there, but the voltage can be used in USA outlets with no problem. As a hairstylist I have used many different brands of curling irons. This one is ceramic plated so its gentler on your hair than a hot tools iron. I used this for large glamour waves and beachy waves. The temp goes up to 400F but it will be in c°. If you have thick straight (asian etc) hair then you can put the heat all the way up (200) but I typically set mine to 180-190. The curls will fall softly throughout the day and the next day my hair will look like I've gotten a blowout. If the ends of your hair are fine it will be hard for the iron to hold as it's very soft. I curl the ends in first all over then go back and curl up the mid shafts and it turns out very pretty. If your hair is shoulder length or above and you want smaller curls I would get the smaller size that's purple. I will eventually be buying this in all the sizes and maybe even backups to use in the salon. It's not cheap, but good hair isnt cheap and cheap hair isnt good :)

I love this hair curler and the kind of natural curls it gives. Sometimes I do wish the curls are tighter but I could get the other sized barrel. I have long straight hair and I am considering getting layers to make sure the curls don’t fall out at the top. The iron is cute and I got the purple one. The handle bar is pink and not gradient purple like the photo showed but I don’t mind. It’s relatively easy to use and I like the little silicon stand that comes with it.

Tried to find a good beginner-friendly curler that gives natural curls and I think I found the one. For anyone deciding to buy this curler, I think it is a good choice. It is easy to use (this is coming from someone who is not good at following even easy hairstyling videos and prefers having curl perms every once in a while as I cannot style my flat hair) and because they have different sizes to choose from, it makes it versatile for customers to choose the type of curl they want. I chose 1.4 inches as I don't like super-defined curls or very loose curls, this 1.4-inch one was perfect for anyone with that type of preference. Plus, if you like to have an aesthetic hair curler this ivory color one is super classic and pretty to have. A note I want to give is that if you live in the US and want to purchase this, please don't be worried that the volts won't work, apparently even though it is a Korean brand the product does come with a plug that is used in the US. That was my main concern when deciding to purchase it or not, as it was never mentioned in the description box.

The VODANA GlamWave curling iron creates smooth, long-lasting curls and heats up very quickly. The 1.4-inch barrel gives a nice natural wave, and the design is sleek — I love the lavender color. However, it’s a bit hard to stand up on the counter securely. It doesn’t feel stable when resting, so I have to be extra careful when using it. Overall, it’s a great styling tool with salon-quality results, but I wish the stand design was more practical.

I love this curling iron so much 🥺🤍. Weight: It’s not heavy, but also not too light either. I’m a person who prefers everything “right” side whether it’s taking shots, removing wisdom teeth first 😅😂, sorts. So my left arm is weaker than my right arm, and I was able to hold this no issue. Safety: It’s safe! As you can see in the picture. If you hear your child calling you from the other room, your pet broke something, someone rang the doorbell, ETC. You can always leave the curling iron in any flat surface area as long as you put that Black Rubber Down. And that way, the iron part of your curling iron will not touch any part of the surface area! Easy to Use: The part where I opened the clip (looks like a mouth) in the image. That’s how you would put your hair, and start curling. Tip✨: Search on Youtube. There are some Korean influencers who use these. I know of this curling iron because it was so well-known (hyped) at one point for a must-buy curling iron and it was everywhere in S.Korea. Curl Duration, Hair Damage, & Quality: As long as your prep your hair before putting any heat, you won’t damage your hair as much. But as any professional say, any heat is still adding heat but how you prep it will help lessen it at least. I’m no hair professional, I just heard of that saying from the hair salon I used to go to. I put in one picture of my hair, I like mine “natural wave” look. I don’t look good with strong curls sadly, but I ended up finding my own style! So if you want it more curling, “I did my hair” look. You can set the heat settings to your liking! Value for money: This is worth all your money, I swear by it. Except the whole delivery package breaking stuff, even though I didn’t have that issue I’m swearing on it lol. I bought this 2025, and I’m writing this review in 2026 July because I still have this curling iron and it still works like wonders ✨

My hair is notorious for not holding a curl. I have very fine, nonporous, silky virgin blonde hair. I have had countless stylists try to prove themselves that it can, and will, hold a curl only to be left disappointed and mystified. On the set of Euphoria, the stylist had this iron from Korea and she was the first to successfully leave my head full of luscious curls that didn't fall after 15 minutes. At that time, they weren't available in the US, unless you had a dealer. I was pleasantly surprised to come across the VODANA iron just randomly here on Amazon and bought it instantly, and I'm so glad I did. It's such a pretty iron with an industrial feel. It's heavy, yet soft. It doesn't pinch the hair and your hair won't get stuck in the clamp spring. The black color even has a bit of glitter in the paint. I love how you can control the temperature to the degree. It heats up quickly and gets the job done ! I got the 1.4" size and that works for my purposes of attaining the glamorous wave curl look.

I have been wanting this curler for a while and finally got it. The first time I used it, the top of the handle was a bit hot but I was very satisfied with the curls so I have no complaints. The curls didn't last long however, about half a day, but I was still in love with the curler because its so pretty and I heard that its less damaging to your hair. About 2 weeks later, I tried to use this curler again for a ceremony and set the temperature higher (160C), hoping that the curls can last me through the day. Half way through, there was a sudden spark and my circuit tripped! I was terrified and put the curler down immediately as I check for injuries. Thank got I didn't get hurt but there were some smoke coming out of the handle. I am requesting a return now and would not purchase again. I'm so disappointed because I really liked this curler brand but is now terrified. It's totally not worth my hopes and for the price.

Heats up fast and looks good, but I have a hard time keeping my hair in place. Not terrible, but not as easy to use as I hoped.
