Aivituvin Cat House Outdoor Indoor Feral Kitty Shelter with Escape Door for Cats, Weatherproof Roof

We have had a feral cat that we began feeding in April or May of this year. We live in Florida and though we don’t have crazy winters it does get cold for the wild things. Not to mention the amount of rain we get. We got this feral cat house less than a week ago. We loved it immediately. My husband is an airplane mechanic and a tough critic. He thought this product was well designed, well made, easy to put together and overall great quality. The roof and “front door” overhang have shingle like material and they even thought about the seam in the roof and provided a cap so that water doesn’t leak through. We started feeding Warren (the feral cat) on the covered “deck” part so he would get used to going up there. Within a day he would use the stairs occasionally. But today was pure victory. It is raining today and will continue to rain. Warren actually got up on the deck, sheltered and promptly went to sleep. This wonderful product allows us to provide safety and shelter for our 4-legged friend and still allows him his outdoor wild self. We love this product!!! Thank you.

I purchased this house close to 5 years ago and we got our money’s worth. Our inside/outside cat uses it all the time, loves the top deck and knows to use it in the rain. It’s been on our deck w/o overhead covering. It stood up pretty good to the weather, but almost time for a new one since the roof is starting to come apart. I would recommend this cute house for your furry friends. 🐱🐱🐱

Great value for the price. It took my cats almost a year to use this, as cats are wary of new things. Now, after adding some small cushy cat beds, they love it. I know when my furry friends want to spend the night out they will be comfy and protected from the elements. The package did ship with a piece of wood that broke off, nothing Elmers glue could not fix. It stays dry, or almost dry even in strong rainstorms. It has gone through a New England winter and still looks new. I would definitely buy this again.

I love it and so do my neighbors but.. it had a few pieces that were split a little. The issue is the stairs; there are no predrilled holes and I’m afraid to do it myself fearing they will split. The same applies to trying to attach them.

I like everything about this. I joke about it being a "cathouse." My outdoor cat used to sleep indoors at night, but the people house is temporarily rented out and so the orange man needs to live outside. I put food and water on the "mezzanine" and of course all the members of the neighborhood cat association come by for grub. But that's the way it is with feral cats; everyone feeds them, so we do our part. You probably already know this, but: Get an 8 or 9 inch cake pan and put some water in it. Then place the food bowl in the water near the center. Keeps ants out and the cats have no trouble with it. I put drinking water in a separate bowl and the cats don't drink the water from the "moat." I put a few toys in the "bedroom" but the weather has not required the cats to seek shelter -- yet. Maybe I'll revisit this in a month or so. I may want to hang a plastic curtain over the opening to slow the wind. We'll see. I laid some sand on the ground and made a four foot by four foot platform of patio pavers and my cat will ofter stretch out on the pavers to rest up after the strenuous job of eating! He loves it; and the other cats all know where it is and visit daily.

This was pretty easy to put together, but some of the pieces didn’t fit as they should’ve, and I actually had to disassemble some of what the manufacturer had put together, remeasure, and put it back together correctly because they just did not fit like they should. It looks very nice, and feels very durable. Overall I think it was a pretty good purchase, but I would maybe consider a different product if I had to do it over again.

Outside cats love it! Smells of cedar and is so easy to put together. I live in Florida and the strays now have a place that they can go to beat the heat.

To start the house was 2 weeks late, so finally got it and put it together today and there are parts that were not painted, some of the panels have bad scratches and huge gouges in them, no holes were predrilled so had to use the screws to make holes because I don’t have a drill, 2 panels I had to take apart because they were put together backwards, the piece over the door keeps leaking tar which got all over my clothes and hands and the wood was never sanded, got a bunch of slivers in my fingers because of it. It’s not worth the amount this costs. Forgot, the nails were not done properly and got stabbed by 2 and had to remove them. I would not recommend this. Plus this house would not keep a stray dry or warm.

Lieferung ging Ruckzuck, Teil ist leicht zusammenzubauen und sieht gut aus. Steht draussen also ist der Geruch zu Anfang egal. Werde noch eine Wetterschutzlasur aufbringen, nur um sicher zu gehen.

Cats love it. Easy to construct. Seems to be surviving all weathers. Recommend.

Je suis déçu de ce produit déjà une odeur très forte dès l'ouverture du carton, du coup mon chat ne veux même pas s'en approcher Le montage assez compliqué et le bois se fend si on vise trop, le meuble n'est pas trop stable,pas très solide mais surtout il y a plein d'éclats de bois de part et d'autre des morceaux du meuble Je suis au regret de dire que cette petite maison a chat va finir à la bene car pas solide trop d'éclats de bois qui risquerais de blesser mon chat (enfin déjà vu l'odeur il ne risque même pas de s'approcher)mais surtout sent vraiment pas bon même après 3 jours à être dehors
