Lesco High Wheel Fertilizer Spreader with Manual Deflector - 101186 - Replaces 091186

I see a lot of comments on how bad the instructions were to assemble the high wheel Lesco spreader. Mine had the shield already installed and all I really had to do was put the handle on. It was easier for me to just go by the exploded picture view. Other than that the spreader works awesome. It is definitely high quality and after using other spreaders. This one feels like it will last for many seasons.

Absolutely the worst set of assembly instructions I have ever come across. Among other things, no list of tools required, actual instructions very vague and lacking detail. Shipping box had numerous holes in it, parts were missing, one of the missing parts was a bolt with no length given or part number, box had been previously opened and packaging had just been thrown back in as though an afterthought. I was very disappointed to say the least. Once I have it fully assembled and “calibrated”, I will pass final judgement and decide whether or not to return it!! It has now been 3 days since I complained, yet to get a response!

I've had this model in the past and sold it to a friend. That one is 15+ years old and still working perfectly. I purchased this one and plan to use it for at least another decade. Very good design and easy to use.

I’m a crazy homeowner that likes to keep my lawn green, and I’m so happy with this unit because it cuts the fertilizing time significantly and it does it very well. Overkill for me? Yes, I could have bought another spreader for much much less. However, knowing that I don’t have to buy another one for the rest of my life and my kids will be fighting over it. It makes me happy!

The directions are not good and there's a lot of trial and error to get it together properly. Once together, it's a nice product.
