Great Loupe. Does everything I need for coin and bite collecting. Helps to take great photos of my coins.

The magnification seems to be about right. I like having the light as an option. I usually don't make use of this as much as I do an ordinary 10x loupe under bright lighting. It's a bit clumsy for frequent use, but it's nice to have it when I need it. I don't have much use for a UV light, but it can't hurt.

Fantastic for needing to see fine details. Built in light works great. Love the 10X magnifier. I have not used the UV light.

I would rank this loupe as fairly good in quality and solidly made. I doubt that the optics is really achromatic as claimed, but OTOH, this is an expensive feature and is not really needed in most cases. The white illumination feature works quite nicely, with six LEDS around the perimeter. The UV illumination is poorly designed because it depends on six very weak UV sources mounted between the white LEDS. There is also one strong UV LED mounted off to the side, but it is not properly aimed at the inspection focal point when the loupe is held close to the eye. This is an obvious design flaw. Where this loupe is very useful besides visual inspection is when it used as follows. When the loupe is positioned securely against an iPhone or other smart phone camera, it takes nice microphotography pictures, and with excellent illumination when using the white LED illumination feature. It would take normally two hands to held the hold the loupe snugly against the iPhone in proper position, and then another hand to push the camera button while holding everything several centimeters from the specimen being photographed; too much to handle. You can overcome this difficulty by clamping the loupe securely and temporarily in proper alignment against the camera aperture. This may be done using several long stiff surfaces like wooden pencils running across the smart phone and the loupe on both sides of the phone. The pencils are pulled into tight contact at their ends by using multiply looped rubber bands on both ends of the pencils. This arrangement will hold everything in close contact long enough to take good pictures.

I like it but it uses 3 button batteries and they don't last long.

Great hand lens and great price.

It comes with a built in UV and LED light. The batteries are pre-installed so it is easy to use. Just slide to the off and on positions. Just make sure it's all the way off before putting it in the case. I will go on a limb and say some people think the batteries doesn't last because when they closed it, it stayed on until next use. So again, if it's not off directly in the center, it is easy to accidentally move to one of the two on positions (UV or LED). The lights are powerful so that should not be a worry. Try using a white background. The size is a 10X triplet and it will be good for most quick visual processes. I ordered a triplet loupe from the GIA and they sent it to the wrong person so while waiting for a replacement I ordered this one. I have no regrets. This is Loupe is able to accurately do everything I need for. The price and quality is right. Update: Received my more expensive Loupe and this Express loupe is way more comfortable to use. The size is a major plus. Lights still work.

This scope is equiped with a decent lens that allow for easy focusing, with quite an effective led illumination in darker corners. Have not really tested out the Uv function, cos i have not use of it for now. I’d spent over hundred dollars in search for loupe that could offer decent focal length which wouldn’t spoil my eye sight. Noticed the online retail sphere has been plagued with loupes with focal length that can’t even squeeze a finger in between the loupe and object, regardless of magnifications, usually in ranges higher than 20x to lure buyers. Some versions even advertised a different but visually similar model, but only to receive an identical version to my earlier purchases, with identical aesthetically pleasant casings. But what i needed is the scope, not the casing! I definitely recommend this over many other loupes in the market.

Outstanding for the price!! I own a few loupe’s, antique, vastly more expensive one’s. But this had one massive plus that my others didn’t a light and not just one two! 6 bright white LED and a UV. Very well made and great to carry with the included case. Now if this is your first loupe, don’t be shocked by the cost this is an amazing loupe for the price, you can get cheaper but remember this is a triplet loupe not a singlet, While more expensive, a triplet provides a sharp, color-corrected image from edge to edge, whereas single-lens magnifiers suffer from significant distortion and color blurring at the edges. Oh and not mentioned anywhere in the description or tech description, replacement batteries needed are L936F. Will be buying a spare in the future, for daily life.

Really happy with this loupe. My eyes aren't what they used to be. I used this to look at some coins in my collection for a closer look. The light is very convenient and useful. The magnification is just the right size. It will be useful for other tasks as well having old eyes is no fun.
