Globe Trekker - Central Japan

Good for Geo Class
Good -- I used this in my 9th grade geo class as a filler while I was at a meeting, and the kids seemed to like it. The Globe Trekker series is really done well. I love Ian Wright -- he is by far the best "tour guide" and even though he isn't in this one it was still informative and fast-paced enough to keep the kids entertained.

Arrived fairly quickly and in good condition as advertised.
Like the justine Shapiro hostess version better but love the content. Train trips are always exciting as part of a journey.

Not as good as the DVD about New Orleans
The host, Justine, seems pretty cranky in this DVD. If they know that the Amish don't like being photographed/filmed, why did they film them so much?

This is a great insight into central Japan
This is a great insight into central Japan. Its an excellent addition to the Tokyo episode done a few years ago starring the brilliant Ian Wright as host. But this episode is great for women travellers to Japan as Megan McCormick goes on women only trains and other women only transport links, so very helpful. A must see if you love all things Japanese
