Vol. 3
Just as good as the previous 2 volumes. Loving this re-telling of the Buffy universe. Well drawn with a great story. I look forward to the next one.

Buffy?.... Don't think so.
Got all 3 volumes at same time. Oh dear..... What a mess. This dross bears little to nothing to the brilliant TV show.Characters display none of their established identites & there is none of the witNor Sharp one liners of the show. Sadly this seems to be theWay that a lot of comics/graphic novels are now written.Disappointing. Avoid.

Buffy-free zone
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer – From Beneath You” collects issues #9-12 of the revamped series, this time without any Buffy in it.That’s not why it is getting only 3 stars though - it’s because of the artwork, which really doesn’t work for me. It is too cartoony, and the characters don’t look like the actors (which might be a licensing issue), and they don’t always look like themselves. There’s one scene where I thought Buffy had suddenly reappeared to save the day, but it turned out to be [spoiler?] instead. Now, Buffy and Angel are off having a team-up, so this volume featured the support staff, who happen to be acting more and more out of character, which annoyed me no end, until the plot suddenly arrived (and a new team-leader!) and explained why SOME of them were.If I hadn’t been so annoyed by the art, that might have been OK, but, overall, it just all annoyed me (unlike over in Angel, where the same thing is happening, but there, for some reason, the cartoony art and story work excellently well – which must therefore be the writing…).
