Our bathroom set up is such that we couldn’t run a line from sink to toilet for hot water so we had to buy and electric unit. Idaho winters are cold and the pipes I our 95 year old house are insulted enough to prevent freezing but not much more. I have Reynaud’s (exposure to cold causes vasospasm / blood vessels to contract.) When this happens to my finger tips it feels like getting hit with a hammer. When it happened to my nipples the first time I, the pain in my poor little black nips made me want for death. I can’t imagine what that would feel like on the back foot or lady bits. So for me, warm water in a bidet was worth the price two fold (especially during the great TP hoarding pandemic of 2020). Could you get warm water with other units for less? Yes, but the bum blow dryer is great. Who wants to walk around with clean by wet tush or have to use TO to pat dry when you can get a nice warm breeze on the backside? Not to mention the heated seat that is especially nice for middle of the night tinkling as it avoids that cold seat shock. This model also puts out a mist of water as soon as it feels pressure on the seat in theory to help prevent things from sticking to the inside of the bowl. Does this work? Seems to help though I can’t say I made a real study of it. However, what I can say for sure is that if you have a golden retriever who plays dumb so that she can get away with being naughty beast, she may likely love this feature and view it as her own personal drinking fountain. We genuinely believed we had improperly installed the unit or had a faulty line at first until I caught her - head under the lid, body weight half on the seat half on the control panel, spraying herself in the face and soaking the floor. This speaks not only to the units stream the to put up with the weight of a chunky golden retriever bearing her weight across the control panel, but also to its user friendliness. If my dog can figure it out, certainly anyone in your household can as well. (This May mean you too will have to start keeping the bathroom door shut as the lid on this unit is light enough for my dogs to flip up with their noses so keeping the lid shut will not be enough) My kids acclimated to the bidet seat quickly, even my 13 year old son who was initially skeptical no seems to prefer to use the upstairs bathroom where the bidet is installed to the one near his bedroom. Given all of our quick acclimation to it we have used 80% less toilet paper this month. This still even after the increased bathroom use associated with the frequent need I have had to go number two quickly -if you get my meaning - as I have had some medicine changes and medical issues that have caused frequent use of the backside buttons. This is another huge point in favor of this unit. It not only has adjustable pressure settings but two separate buttons for the backdoor, one for “backside“ and one for “backside soft.“ Given my GI issues I had a bloody backside from frequent wiping such that it caused serious pain to wipe. Now not having to drag TP across a sore BH, I feel so much better. I know that’s an over share to most, but for those of you with celiacs, fissures, or other conditions that require frequent TP you understand what I mean when I say this bidet has rescued my bum from what seemed a routine of wiping with fine grit sand paper. I had surgery on my lady gear and no longer have a period but I would imagine this would feel so nice to be able to feel clean again each time you use the bathroom. (Not that there is anything unnatural or shameful about getting your period, but it just feels nice to feel clean especially if like I did, you have a heavy heavy flow. My youngest just started hers and seems to appreciate this aspect of the bidet.) And again they have thoughtfully given a separate button for this as well. So regardless of if you have normal backdoor cleaning, need a soft gentle wash in the rear, are a lady who doesn’t want to have to adjust her seated position to properly clean, or if you’d like a blow dried bum. There are buttons for each all with separate adjustments for pressure and temperature (as well as a seat heater adjustment as well.) Lastly, the unit also has a self cleaning setting to spray off the inside and outside of the sprayers (which are all housed behind plastic walls to be protected when not in use). Everything about this bidet is user friendly and customizable for your comfort. I can’t recommend this enough. If you are considering this unit because of its ease of installation, the knowledge that the manufacturer has a long history of making quality bidets, because you have medical issues which could be eased or made more comfortable, if you want to feel cleaner than dry wiping (I mean really if you got Pooh on your shoe would you clean it with TP or wash it off), or you just don’t want to have to worry about running out of toilet paper ever again. This unit is so much more than worth the price.... just be sure to keep the bathroom door shut if you have a naughty golden retriever.

There is so much good to say about this product, it's hard to pick where to start. As a bit of background, I first used a bidet at work. The bathroom for our area has the TOTO Washlet S350e Elongated Bidet Toilet Seat with Auto Open and Close and ewater+ Sanitization, Cotton White - SW584#01 installed. And while I will not be doing a direct comparison of this product to the S350e, I can tell you that the C100 has all the features that really matter. We decided to purchase one for our home at the suggestion of our pediatrician as an aid for one of our children who has battled constipation for a while. Having used the TOTO brand at work, and witnessing the quality of the product, it was the only brand I would consider for the house. The C100 comes in at a nice price point for the features that you get. Yes, there are some brands that offer slightly more for less, but the familiarity of the TOTO brand was important to me. I don't see a need to cover every feature since they can be read in the product spec, but I feel it is important to mention that this unit comes with two types of rear washes. One is a "regular" rear cleaning which is a more direct water stream, and the other is a soft rear, which fans the water out slightly more than the regular rear cleaning. Both can have oscillation enabled at the touch of a button, and the nozzle can easily be adjusted forward or backward depending on your body type. The regular rear cleaning, combined with the oscillation is the one that can help those with constipation issues. Both the soft and regular give a solid clean, but I feel it worth mentioning in case anyone needs it for this purpose. Overall, the unit installed very quickly. Everything needed to plumb the unit was included and the directions were fairly clear. After a few times using the unit, you'll be able to operate the controls without a glance, which is nice since there is no remote to lose or drop/break. Because the unit attaches to a base plate that installs on the toilet, it's very important that you do not wiggle back and forth on the seat. Don't get me wrong, you can adjust yourself, but if you have children that move around a lot, you may want to consider installing this on a toilet they don't have access to. Also, because of the angle of the seat, there is a weight limit of 250lbs (call TOTO support to confirm). Overall, this is a great unit. You get all the main features, warm water, multiple cleaning options, heated seat, adjustable water pressure, wand position, seat and dryer temperature. I've always felt that I'm clean after using it, and it's helped improve my child's issue. Once you get one of these, you'll never want to use a regular toilet again.

I have wanted one of these bidets ever since I used one at a family member's house many years ago. I just moved into a house where the toilet was the right shape and electrical outlet was placed nearby and immediately pulled the trigger on ordering this item. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and I show it off to all my friends (who now all think I am crazy) whenever I get a chance. Using a toilet anywhere else feels like a huge downgrade now, as if going back in time to being a peasant and having to use the outhouse. The installation - I had zero trouble with it. Either Toto made recent improvements to the water line coupler to make it a lot easier than it used to be or all the people who reported difficulties with the installation are dummies... I downloaded their interactive installation video for the BILT mobile app and along with the printed manual I had zero doubts about what goes where and how much tension to use etc. I didn't end up spilling any water and did not ruin my house with flood damage. I took my time and went slowly and it still only took about 20 minutes. The usage - I have all the settings turned up to "hot": the heated seat is fantastic in the winter, the warm spray itself is powerful, accurate, and very pleasant to use. The unit itself starts to make noise as soon as you sit on it, it may bother you... I don't mind it at all, it is about equivalent and blends in with the noise of the fan in the bathroom. The drying fan is not that powerful and would require an additional minute or two of sitting there once you're finished... I usually go for about 15 seconds and then wipe off the remaining water... overall a huge savings in terms of how much toilet paper I use nowadays. One minor complaint - the plastic used on the unit seems to be less resistant to typical toilet splash / stains than a typical toilet seat material. The instructions also caution against using strong cleaners on the unit itself, so that seems like a catch-22. I hope Toto uses a harder or more stain resistant plastic in the future when it is my time to upgrade or add another unit in my household. So far I have been vigilant about wiping off any black splash / stains from the bottom of the seat but it's going to be hard to keep this kind of routine up in the long run. Then again, sitting down for a #1 (as a man) is now so much more appealing than standing up that I might just start sitting down for both #1s and #2s. Happy throne time!

I am going to give this one a five star, but at the same time point out some problems that the buyer be aware of. The bidet itself does a great job of cleaning, with warm water and at a very high pressure that helps do the job. The controls and functions are just right for all adjustments and to customize for individual requirements. The pre-mist feature helps keep the toilet clean, the fan and the deodorizer ensures the toilet is not smelly. I had used the unit before during my visits to Tokyo, Japan and the hotel had a same/similar unit and I loved it. The cleaning water pressure and temperature played an important role in decision making, combined with the ability to customize the nozzle position. Now be aware of 2 issues: 1. The seat occupies lot of toilet space! I installed it on Kohler elongated toilet which is large. But the bidet seat reduces the toilet opening size smaller. In short the unit is big. It is not a major problem or a show stopper, but be aware. 2. I am surprised not many reviews have mentioned but the T valve used for installation can be problematic. The T Valve on the toilet tank side will leak and unless you use Teflon tape on the threads and use different washers the T Valve will continue to leak. The way US toilet connectors on the flexible piping on the toilet tank side is designed, all you need is hand tightening. The tank side of the US made connectors have built in conical washer that snugs into the input tube of flush tank and snugly tightens into the tank with few hand turns. That's not the case with T valve that comes with this unit. Also the washers that comes with the TOTO T valve are useless and in the absence of a conical washer will leak on the tank side. Also the tightening nut on T Valve needs a spanner ( cannot be hand tightened), so be very careful do not over tighten as either it will break the tank inlet tube or loosen it and water from flush tank will leak. So here is the way to install: Go to OSH (Home Depot does not have them) and buy 4 of 3/8" Rubber Union Washers (Thrifco Plumbing or any other brand). These are made of flexible rubber. Use 2 on each side of the T Valve. Now these washers are slightly bigger in their outer diameter. You will have to push them in evenly using a flat screw driver. Also use plenty of Teflon threading tape on both sides. Install the lower end of the T Valve first as T needs to be held with a spanner and may need two spanner, one for holding the T and the other for tightening the tube coming from the wall. Then using a spanner slowly tighten the upper end of the T into the inlet of the Flush tank, keep tightening till the middle end of the T (plastic part) does not move freely. That should be your signal to slow down. Tighten 1/8th turn at a time ensuring the inlet to the flush tank does not loosen or starts to loosen.In my case when I stopped, I opened the valve and water still dripped, very slowly though, I tightened 1/8 turn one more time and the dripping stopped. However let this not stop buying you this product as it is very good! comfortable, sturdy, smells nice - and that is important!

When my washlet died recently, I decided to get the top-of-the line washlet from the originator of washlet products - Toto of Japan. I chose the C100 because of the following: 1. Price - on the Toto Web site, this is $599! On Amazon, C100 is less than half that (when I bought it Aug 2016). 2. Round (C200) or Oblong (C100) - I chose the oblong because it is $100 less than the round. My previous washlet was also oblong and I have a round toilet. If I could have afforded it, I would have chosen the round. Why? Because the "bumper" underneath the seat hits on the edge of the toilet. On my old seat, I easily replaced those with over the counter bumpers from the hardware store. However, the Toto bumpers are extremely small and I don't know how I will deal with it if I can't find them that shallow - they will wear out over time (I had my other washlet 15+ years). 3. C100 has the SIDE controls. ONLY on the right-hand side. C200 has the remote control. C200 is $100 more. Side controls are hard to see and some of them are hard to reach, you have to be off of the seat to see the tiny print and controls. For example, the Power Saver and other features. Again, if I had the money, I'd choose the remote. I saw that you can put the remote on a holder by the wall, but in my case it would have had to have been on the wall to my left. BUT again, easier to see and control. 4. Plumbing Adapter. YES people are right in the reviews when they say they need a plumbing adapter. The hose and brass fitting that comes with the Toto are larger than the fitting from my wall. Maybe the older homes have smaller wall fittings? In any case, my handyman went to the nearby plumbing supply store and got the necessary hose and coupling to make this work. 5. Features. My previous Korean washlet was simpler and easy to use. Toto is a bit more elaborate and I'll have to get used to all it's features, some of which I don't like. - Spray mist. This is supposed to spray mist your toilet bowl so things don't "stick." I think this is good if you have a low-flow toilet. I don't and don't like the noise it makes the minute you sit down and after you get off. - Deodorizer. Seems unnecessary. Maybe because it's just me and I leave the bathroom directly after using it. - Power Saver. Doesn't seem to work. You have to press buttons and make sure the selection lights up - when you are not on it. I don't know how much power saving it does. Presumably it's internal computer tracks how much and how often you use and goes into power saving mode. - Heated seat. With my old one, I only turned that on during the winter. But Toto's seat warmer is on all the time. - Spray nozzle. My previous washlet came out and sprayed. This one requires you to adjust how far it comes out EVERY time. No memory. - Seat slide. Sounds funny but there is a slide section between the Toto and the toilet seat. You are supposed to slide it forward so you can clean behind it. Consequently, the toilet seat feels a bit loose. It's so heavy that I would NOT be sliding it off just to clean it. Never had to do that before with my other washlets.... 6. I assumed the Toto would be made in Japan. NOT. This one is made in Malaysia. 7. You cannot sit on this Toto when the lid is down. The seat slopes and you could fall off! i received the Washlet 2 days before my installation date/time. I recommend if you get it before, open the box and READ through the instructions and the booklet. It will give you lots of information. I envy the people who said it took them only 20 minutes to install it. What are they, professional plumbers??? I've had washlets since the 1980s. That was when only a few people knew about them and we bought them at the Japanese specialty stores. Now, international travelers are coming home and demanding them in their own homes. It's a MUST HAVE for the bathroom. BTW - because of my Silicon Valley location, Amazon provided installation (extra charge) through a local handyman service. Half the price of a plumber so I was very happy about that! However, the last time I had my washlet installed, the salesman/installer from SF was very experienced and installed it in less than 30 minutes. My handyman took from 3 to 5:30 cause he had to go to the Plumbing supply store (30 minutes).

First, let me say that i was more than a little skeptical of this before I bought it. My wife has been bugging me for years about a bidet and, given the size of our bathroom, there was no way to fit a traditional one in there. But after hearing her mention it for the umpteenth time, I looked on Amazon and found that you could indeed put one on an existing toilet. After much research, I settled on this one, ordered it, and installed it without her knowledge. Let me say that it is indeed life changing. Not "win $10 Million" changing, but still, it is amazing. Pros: 1. Super easy to install. Literally, you take the old seat off and turn off the water. Unhook the feed line and install the included splitter, sending one line to your tank and the other to the bidet. Install the bidet over the old installation holes, plug in the bidet, and you're done. If you don't have power in the bathroom, that might be an issue, but get an electrician to handle it for you. 2. Use - could not be simpler. When you "activate" the seat by sitting down, a spray of water goes into the bowl to prevent things from sticking to it. The fan starts up with the filter to take care of odors and, may I say, this is very effective. 3. Bonus - after taking care of the paperwork for 54 years the same way, as I said, I was skeptical. I have changed my mind. The warm spray of water that soothes and cleans matters up is, well, life changing. I'll never be comfortable taking care of business any other way. I use the "wipe - spray - wipe" method, if you understand what I'm saying. While there is a dryer, I prefer the assurance of paper for the final quality control check to make sure I'm again ready to enter polite society. Cons - I genuinely don't have any. If I had to nit pick to find something, it would be that the cord is a little short, so I needed an extension to get the power to my outlet. As mentioned, however, this is certainly picking at nits, so no big deal. Overall, I've gone from skeptic to sold. By the way, the wife came upstairs and saw it, had no idea that I had installed it. Mentioned at first that it looks like a geriatric toilet, but after use, no one is complaining about what it looks like. This is a good buy, and if you're like me, take the plunge. You won't regret it.

Installation: Installation of the bidet itself was extremely easy. If you can replace a toilet seat, you can install this. It took a few tries to get it lined up right, but after five minutes I had it tightened down and the water lines connected. Electrical: I had to tap off of an outlet on the other side of the wall to install a GFCI protected receptacle next to our toilet. That took me a few hours of drilling through studs and wiring everything up, and was the hardest part of this thing so far. I did it a few nights before the bidet arrived though, so it was easy to pop on when it showed up. Features: I found the C100 to be the sweet spot in Toto’s lineup. The remote on the C200 seems totally unnecessary after using the controls on the C100. The unlimited warm water feature on the much more expensive Washlét C2 ($1000+) is also not something I’ve found necessary. The 40 or so seconds of warm water on the C100 is more than adequate and gives you enough time to shift around to get a very good clean. Haven’t run out yet, and when I got close, it never truly got cold or uncomfortable. Good way to save $700! The hot air dryer works very quickly. And the deodorizer really works! When you sit down, an exhaust fan pulls air out of the toilet, filters it, and exhausts it out the side to clean the air. I have truly not smelled anything, nor has the bathroom had an odor since installing this bidet. Surprisingly good. Lifestyle: Going to the bathroom is now a bit more luxurious for me and my wife. We both love it. For me it has cut down but not eliminated toilet paper use, and my wife says it’s almost unnecessary for her now. I’d say I use 50% less. Overall, this model had all the features I wanted except for a power seat, which is way out of this bidet’s price range. We are extremely happy with it and have not been left wanting anything more out of the unit. It must be felt to be believed!

I decided to buy a bidet after seeing my uncle's and thinking it was good idea. His is a crappy unit, however, cold water only, all manual controls (both of them), no heat at all. I ordered this yesterday with one-day delivery and it was delivered as expected. It took less than 30 minutes from the time I opened the box to getting my first taste of this device. I read through the instructions completely because of other reviews stating that the threads were metric, but discovered that the installation instructions varied from the reviewer's photos. I needed two tools to install this - a Phillips head screwdriver to remove and install the seat, and an adjustable-end wrench to *gently* tightly the connectors (the threads are plastic, so use very little force). After removing the old seat, I scrubbed the top of the bowl, the bolt holes and the underside to remove any residue, mostly bowl cleaner. The Toto uses a wonderful mounting plate system - no bolts and nuts, just a Phillips head screw that compresses a rubber "bushing" that creates a compression fit. The screws are inserted into a square metal washer that fits into grooves in the mounting plate, enabling to you be as anal as you like when adjusting the seat alignment. I tightened the screws using my DeWalt 18v cordless drill, using the screwdriver mode and the clutch set to 1 ("one") the weakest setting. The main unit slides in with a click and there is a release button to remove it in seconds (for cleaning). The water connection was easy, too. I turned off the water at the valve and flushed the toilet and let the water run out while holding the handle. I put a towel on the floor and removed the supply line from the tank. I screwed the T-connector to the tank, aligned the horizontal connection and tightened the connector. I then connected the supply line to the T-connector and connected the Toto supply line to the horizontal connection and turned the water back on. I will be installing a dedicated outlet for this but for now an extension cord plugged into a GFCI is working well. I had to put the seat heater setting on Low, but my wife will probably like it warmer. I won't bother with the details of the first test run, but it was ... interesting for this novice. The dryer fan was more efficient than I had expected. My wife poo-poo'd getting one when I talked to her about it, but backed down. She did squeal a bit when the jets first did their work. However, she now loves it, especially the heated seat and the blow dryer. In all, a good investment that I highly recommend.

Este es nuestro segundo Washlet en casa, es práctico e higiénico. Lo recomiendo ampliamente, ahora este modelo tiene más servicios que el primero que compré, desodoriza, pre humedece el WC y tiene el servicio de secado por aire, de verdad buen equipo.

Très facile à installé . Si vous n’avez pas un tuyaux de toilette flexible il faut en prévoir un sinon vous ne serez pas capable de l’installer . Sinon l’installation m’a pris moins de 10 min . J’adore le siège chauffant et les différentes fonctions sont super . Meilleur bidet .
