Q: Hi, i dont think the leds work on mine. surely if i take the fuse out to simulate a blown one, the light should come on? any advice? thanks

Hello the the red LED on mine will only light when it receives a negative at the poss terminal this would happen if you had light circuit connected when the fuse blows the negative would travel the circuit and reach the poss terminal . Red led would light . If ypu have no circuit's connected the led will not light

Q: Why does a fuse box need a negative from the battery, is it to drive the LED's. All I am interested in this doing is fusing the 12 volt feed.

Please note I am not a electrician! This box does not have individual inline fuses. It takes 1 common feed and shares it over each fuse. So one shared ground cable also. Please do research cable size/length and load capacity to ensure a safe installation there are plenty of free diagrams available on line

You are correct. Are you sure you wired it correctly? Positive from battery to positive on Blade.
